Doing a bankruptcy was one of the hardest decisions I’ve made. A lot of anxiety, stress, and having to lay out what I felt were failures. From my first phone call with Mr. Kelly, I felt better about the process. I had credit cards calling and making threats and didn’t even want to open the mail. He just took all the documents and entered all of them on the lists, and he gave me checklists of everything I needed to do. It really was painless, and a huge weight has been lifted from me. Thank you!!!
Had big medical bills and my insurance didn't cover all of it. Had to file bankruptcy to discharge it. Did not want to, and really felt like a failure. Could not have asked for better help. I only had to meet with a court trustee for 10 minutes, and the rest was just painless paperwork and Tom handled it all for me. So relieved.
I really needed a good bankruptcy attorney to help me with a growing financial problem, and had no idea where to turn. I didn’t know anything about bankruptcy, and I was anxious about the process and what might happen. A friend referred me to Tom, and he was outstanding from the start. I had to take the long route to complete the process, but that was because Tom put together a long-term game plan that worked, even though it meant he had to put in work for me without getting paid until the case was started. He was fantastic about returning calls and responding to emails, and always took the time to explain the steps I was taking. I cannot tell you how relieved I am now that it is behind me. Thanks Tom!!!!
I hired Mr. Kelly for help with my giant debts. Nobody likes to talk about bankruptcy. Even the thought of it made me anxious. But Mr. Kelly met with me for a first consultation that was free. He was very knowledgeable, and I really liked the way he spoke to me. No judgment or tone, and it’s pretty clear he has the same anger at the banks that I have. But what was best is that there was no pressure file right away - he actually recommended I wait and think about it. I spoke with another attorney on the phone and they really tried the pressure sales tactics on me saying that the case had to be filed right now. After talking with Mr. Kelly, and after he explained the issues, it was pretty clear that was not true, and I was felt so much better and comfortable about it. If you are hesitant about bankruptcy, I recommend giving him a call. He really helped me.
I was referred to Tom Kelly by a close friend, and I am so grateful for his help. I did not want to file bankruptcy, or even if I should. Tom spent a long time with me explaining the process, and he made it very clear and easy to follow. It took a bit to get my case started because I had to get some information to him, but he kept in touch with me and gave me some reminders. Did a chapter 7 which wiped out the mountain of credit card debt I had built up when my hours got cut at work. I always though things would turn around, and tried getting a second job, but it got to the point where I couldn’t even afford the minimum monthly payments. The best part was how Tom explained that bankruptcy is not this giant black mark against you for the rest of your life. I really felt like a failure, and it seems everybody thinks it is, and that’s what the credit card companies want you to think. It really isn’t, the whole thing was pretty simple and no judge yelling at me or anything like that. Just a five minute meeting with a trustee. I am so relieved that all this is behind me.
Tom turned my life around. I lost my job and was living on credit cards to keep going. The banks had filed three lawsuits against me and starting trying to take the only money I had left in my bank accounts. It was awful, and couldn’t sleep. Bankruptcy felt like failure, and it was humiliating to have to start calling attorneys. I spoke with several, and Mr. Kelly spent almost an hour on the phone with me explaining the process, and I felt so much better after talking to him. What was so different was that he was the only one I spoke to that took that time to explain it, and gave me some hope this would end. The case is over now and the lawsuits and debts are all gone. I’m finally getting back on my feet, and even though I hated doing it, was worth it. Tom really helped make the process painless.
My wife lost her job a while back, and the bills started to pile up. We just could not make it on one paycheck and we had to borrow money from family to pay bills. I went in to see Tom (and yes, he wants you to call him Tom, not Mr. Kelly) and he listened to my situation and explained my options very clearly. But the best was that I left feeling a lot better than I felt going in to see a bankruptcy attorney.
I stumbled into Tom's office penniless, hopeless and literally broke. Buried alive by an insurmountable debt, my mindset was that of an overwhelmed and hopeless individual with over $500,000 in credit card and student loan debt compounding at 8% to 12.5%! After Tom handled my Chapter 7 BK I'm now debt free!I had judgments, liens, private student loans and federal student loans. I had debt collection agencies, lawyers, banks, universities and credit card companies calling and chasing me EVERYWHERE I went.Rather than treating me like the 7 lawyers that I saw before him, all of which dismissed my case as "very complex" and "expensive," Tom immediately showed a genuine interest and compassion for my situation. He first sought to address my emotional state and only then proceeded to ask for the factual details of my case. He immediately came off as articulate, personable, and most importantly, he cared about his clients. He had one of the most impressive offices of any of the attorneys I consulted with before him and was the only one to provide a payment plan option and not demand any type of huge retainer up front. You could tell he loves what he does with a passion and isn't just about the money! Most of all he shared the same passion and disdain for the manner in which some of my creditors had treated me. The end result was that he handled my case with the utmost professionalism and kept me in the loop every step of the way.It is because of this man that I have a new lease on life. He's altered the course of my life in a way that I could never even begin to describe and I will be indebted to him for the rest of my life!Tom, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
I called David Chandler Jr. for bankruptcy and help with a loan mod nightmare and he wouldn’t even talk to me about what was happening unless I paid him money first! We’ve been through months and months of applications and having to submit documents over and over again and he just cut me off on the phone, demanded money and said he would not do anything unless he got money first. Just rude and only cares about money. There are way better lawyers than him that will listen to you.
