Very pretty hotel, premium location across from the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. I little pricey $300 plus for our room, but we had a lovely room on the top (4th) floor with a balcony with a little table and 2 chairs, even a light to read by if you wanted to. It was quite private due to the design of the building. The room and bath were very clean with a king-sized bed, and crisp white sheets. The shower was the whole width of the bathroom, with a rain shower spray and glass wall. You could actually look out at the beach while you showered! No one could see in the window from anywhere. The people were lovely. Parking was an extra$30 a day, but cheaper than anywhere else. They have valet parking, but we were able to park in a handicap space on the main floor. Security was mostly provided by needing a key card to operate the elevator, which was fine by me. It's a small hotel, so you don't get on the elevator with anyone else most of the time. There was someone on duty at the desk all night, I think. There was always someone there when we were coming and going.

I've eaten at Ocean and Vine several times now as it is a convenient walk from work. Lunch has always been excellent. Sit on the patio and enjoy the beachy view. The sandwiches are delicious and you can enjoy a nice meal for $15 a person. The restaurant is also a great spot for drinks. The bartenders mix a good cocktail, though my favorite thing is to sit outside in a comfy chair by the fire pits while drinking one of their many red wines by the glass. My first dinner at Ocean and Vine was fabulous. Unfortunately, others have varied. One meal, the entire table ended up with overcooked fish. However, their poultry and steaks seem to be reliable enough. When everything goes right in the kitchen, it is truly a wonderful dining experience.
My boyfriend chose the Georgian Hotel to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We wanted to be near the Santa Monica Pier and we wanted something quaint, something different than the chain-style hotels that we stay at while traveling. This was perfect for us. No frills but no disappointments either. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful to us. Thanks to Lynn (who checked us in), our room was cozy, quiet, and up on the 7th floor so we were never disturbed. It was great for us! Sitting on the front porch for cocktails on our special night gave us great memories, and breakfast the following morning on the same porch was excellent as well. We loved it here!
Fabulous location - near the Santa Monica pier - breathtaking ocean views... The rooms aren't big but feel very homey. Super relaxing surroundings as well, such as the Palisades Park promenade all along Ocean Avenue. My only complaint is about some billing mistakes that were made and took a while to get rectified. Would definitely recommend though to anyone planning to spend a night or two on the West side.
I stayed here over the past 4 days and loved every minute of it. It was beautiful and the service was fantastic. The bed was so comfortable and the linens sublime. We watched the early morning surfers, took walks along the beach. There was delicious coffee early enough for east coast visitors. The restaurant meals were as spectacular as the view. We will definitely return.
I had a lovely stay at the Fairmont Miramar. My company booked my accommodations here during a visit to HQ. Obviously, my company has great taste. Not only was my room beautiful, but our meals at the Lobby Lounge were all delicious! There's also a cool lounge/club just outside the hotel that had a live band, bar, and nice vibe. I hated to leave!
My wife and I were excited about our trip to the west coast. We enjoyed our stay very much and our room was extremely nice. Our private patio included a hammock which great for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The staff was friendly and we would definitely stay there again.
My husband and I stayed thier for our aniversary. We had a room with a balcony and view of the ocean. The room was magnificant! If you are looking for something extra special you should consider this hotel.
So, I haven't checked into my room yet so this review might be biased but I am relaxing in a private cabana, hooked up to WiFi, and enjoying a delicious margarita by the pool. Not a bad way to live, right?!
My stay here has been one of those exceptional kinds. I think that the personal service that the staff shows their customer is the secret. I really felt pampered in this place.
