I booked my first appointment at Talk of the Town during the week of November 6th. Over the last week, I received multiple text messages confirming my appointment for today, November 17th. Then today - five hours prior to my appointment time of 2:30 PM, I was called by the Receptionist to let me know that "unfortunately" there was a scheduling conflict and that I could not be seen today. I stated that was unacceptable and I asked to speak to the Manager - "Tami" the Owner told me that it was simply not allowable to see me today due to an "unfortunate" conflict in schedules and that they could give me "options" to reschedule on a different day. I told her that was not an option, as I was leaving for vacation the following day. She had ZERO concern that the issue was due to THEIR error. When I reiterated how terrible it was to treat new customers this way, Tammy flatly told me that it was I who was being rude and to take my business elsewhere. NEW CLIENTS beware - this is NOT a place where you want to take your business. They do not understand business and their lack of customer service and care for new clients is appalling. Complete lack of consideration for the client and absolutely NO accountability for their mistake - they NEVER once apologized for their "scheduling conflict." Unreal!

The women at the salon are great always warm and welcoming... its a great environment and team of girls. And Traci is great! Sweet and thorough in her questioning and matching your wants/needs. I get everything done with her cut, color, regular styles, and keratin straightening... she is my go to for everything beauty! AND if she happens to not know she will find out everything she can! She is talented and on top of it always!
I just got my hair cut my Irma and I honestly couldn't be happier, I love it! She cut it just the way I wanted it and it was very affordable! Im definitely coming back!
I started going to 1st Street Hair Co about 5 years ago The owner always colored and cut my hair just perfect. New owner is not so good. She was a bit upset with me for requesting she not cut the back of my hair so long so when she cut it next she cut it about 1.5 inches long. It was a hideous cut and the color was flat. I will never return there as long as she is there!!! Awful experience and awful cut. BEWARE!!!!
Juliet is excellent working with naturally curly hair. mine is very long, and I hadn't had a cut in about 3 years. she took the time to talk to me about options and listened to what I really wanted to achieve. she didn't pressure me into cutting too much, or bangs, or doing any unnecessary coloring. very satisfied, and it didn't break my bank!
After having a bad experience at another salon, I went to Tami! I was BEYOND happy! She has the most experience and education and is very talented! My extensions looked natural and my only regret is not going to her the first time!!! You DO get what you payed for!
Awesome and Relaxing experience.. I came here to get a color and cut done, by Michelle which does great work! It was my first time coming to her and the salon and I must say I will be coming back.. She listened to what I wanted and didnt hack away at my hair..The prices were very reasonable also and the salon was really nice inside and CLEAN, which is a big deal to me since I am a germaphobe! I am looking forward to coming back!!
You should know best not to walk into this salon as everyone who works there has super blonde chunky skunky highlights!! If they have bad hair themselves, why would you let them do your hair? I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but both times I went there, they totally effed up! I had an asymmetrical haircut, so one side was longer than the other. I simply asked the girl to cut the long side the same length as the shorter side and to even it up without taking off too much. I took off my glasses and she turned my seat so that my back was facing the mirror. By the time she was done, I pretty much had a bowl cut!! super short!!! I was friggin pissed!! I told her, hello! I told you I didn't want to cut my hair short!! I left without tipping her.. The next time I went in, my hair was grown down passed my bra line. I asked for a simple trim and some bangs.. Needless to say, that was too much for her to handle. My bangs were underneath my eyebrow on one side and above my eyebrow on the other. And how hard is it to cut long hair in a straight line in the back??? Obviously too much of a request for this chunky skunky haired girl.choppy hair!! SUPERCUTS did a better job!! Shoot, I've been to the Beauty College and had better results!! Don't go here!! You're better off at the SM Beauty College!!!
