I was heart broken and disappointed with this organization. Very unprofessional staff and management. They know little about boundaries with clients and amongst colleagues. This organization focuses in numbers (grants) not in quality nor the REAL needs of the people in the community. Management will fire you to hire a relative, friend, a client, or simply anyone who will not mess with their personal agenda. They will offer you a full time job but sign you up for part time with any lame excuse and trying to sound legit as they BS you to your face (HR); You'll have to accept since they wait until you've put your 2 weeks somewhere else (this happened to a friend). I got fired as soon as the Client/Intern/Bestie of my co-worker was out of school and ready for hire after my third paycheck. Clients complained to me that they were being asked to leave their partners by the advocate "because they were not good for them (pregnancy program)," but the boss is always too busy putting more things on her plate to show off to the higher up's. They preach HIPPA but we advocates didn't get trained on it and those hand picked employees couldn't care less about it out in the field. You also, will oddly find birth coaches who have never given birth themselves be opinnionated about the matter... Anyway, they offer services for free, if you need them you should take advantage of them and not mind the multiple bad experiences I and people I know have had.
