My family regularly stays at Edgewater. We also enjoy turning our friends on to this hotel. Many of our friends have enjoyed Santa Cruz for themselves using the Edgewater as a "home base." The well-equipped kitchenettes save a bundle on breakfasts. Being so close to the beach it is easy to come back to our room for lunch before heading out again. Like the other reviewer I also liked the video on this site. The staff makes you feel like you are a guest being welcomed into their home. This seems to be a family run property that takes pride in their hotel. It does not have the big chain feel. I like that it feels more personal.I'm a regular guest and will continue to be.
I booked online with priceline and paid for reservation. When I arrived at the motel not only did they add on bogus fees but then told.me that both my cards declined with and had no money. Asked for an additional $100 deposit and when I said in didn't have it and was told i could not rent a room there. After I left they charged both cards the amount of the room and pet fee. Called to ask about charges and was cursed. Greedy people stay away!!!
Family vacation here and it was near perfect. Sound proof quiet rooms. Free shuttle to boardwalk or harbor. Great staff.
Great Location! Right across the street from the pier entrance. Very clean and friendly staff. Lovely coffee, hot chocolate and tea bar in the morning and popcorn in the afternoons. Loved our stay here and will stay again.
This is a hidden gem. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and cozy. Very cute place surrounded by trees.
Stayed here with our granddaughters. Love the view of the beach and boardwalk from the balcony. Great pool area too.
Beautiful location with private beach area. Nice pool as well with games, fire pits at night and great staff. Will stay again.
This hotel needs help. Sheets with holes, toilet seat needs replacing, bathroom ceiling moldy and peeling. Equipment in pool area?
great manager and the kroom was very clean
On 10-24-14 I spent the night in room 221. I needed time away from my routine, and reduce my stress. At about midnight there was some struggles outside of my room until the man eventually left. At night on 10-25-14 I noticed what appeared to be mosquito bites but the itchiness was horrible. I was check by an nurse and was informed that it was bed bug bites. I saw my doctor on 10-31-14 because the itchiness was still the same and the bites were still big. I was told that it would take 2 to 3 week for them to go away and that I probably brought them home. After my stay at the torch I am more stressed because I don't know if I have unwanted company at my home. I will never return to this place. I called the manager and he was not helpful at all and stated that no body has complained about it. The bites do not appear immediately. It takes a about 24 hours from the bite.
