First of all we reserved way ahead and let them know it was our moms birthday. Tge service was bad and the food was bad. Even with her birthday these guys gave nothing special. And the table we requestef we did not get it. They gave it away. Do you think that hard to put a reserve sign right at that hour if we were there on time that restaurant sucks food was cold
We enjoy visiting Woodies each time we are in Santa Cruz. Absolutely the best clam chowder! Great kids menu as well.
When you find yourself on the westside of Santa Cruz, head here! Located in the Swift Street market area and across from Santa Cruz Brewing company, this brewpub draws big crowds - but you can usually find space at the bar or one of the barrel tables while you wait. Super cool interior design, limited outdoor seating. Really loud, so don't plan for a cozy dinner. Beer selections are really tasty, and the menu changes - it's not your typical brewpub fare. Fresh local veggies, homemade pasta in interesting ways along with burgers and other cuts of meat. My husband is a big IPA fan so this place is a favorite.
The Crow's Nest upstairs, outdoor patio is a must if you are visiting the harbor and beach area. While the menu downstairs is more robust (and pricier), the upstairs patio has a great selection of drinks and food (fish tacos are delicious).
I just love this place. Service excellent. Food outstanding. I go there quite a bit. Very friendly and go out of there way to please you.
Got fish n chips to go. They were not busy, and I live only 2 min's away. The fish was good, but the fries were stone cold, and I often get food to go from the wharf, and fries are NEVER cold. They had a huge mountain of fries in the warmer, and you can taste they were NOT freshly made. Really bad and we will not eat there again.
Good price and nice location. Had fish sandwich which was OK.
