I absolutely, definitely have never met any professional with such a sincerity and high level of integrity and skill in the maze of automotive maintenance. Wade has come through for me again even when it meant chipping on his personal time. I've been travelling a lot lately and my car has started giving me problems for sitting weeks and sometimes months at a time without a start. Drove to the car wash a block away and now car won't start, tried a jump start from a passerby at no avail; I phoned Master Automotive after hours to leave a message that I'm getting the Porsche dropped off, surprisingly Wade took the call and minutes later he's at the scene with a huge jumper box and I'm on my way. This is a true family business that treats it's clients as such, Thank you Wade.
Why aren't more mechanics like Waid? Double the quality at 1/2 the price - not just a marketing slogan, but a legitimate promise. The job was handled very smoothly, loaner car provided, and work finished on time with no additional hidden costs! That's right, no additional hidden costs, imagine that... Waid is the best Porsche mechanic I've ever met, truly a person of exceptional character that provides unbelievable service.
I have been suitably impressed with Master Automotive-- much more than with the build quality of my Audi. Things were great when my Audi A4 was new-- but as it got older, the folks over at Master Automotive really took care of me. Wade the Owner is a class act-- and completely a reason enough for me to go to go to there. He treats you like a human and he's been more than fair with me when dealing with some Drivability as well as economic issues.
I have tried the dealer before and I have to admit that if I did not know Waid I would not have purchased my second Audi.
Waid,at Master Automotive is the European Car Specialist, is literally that rare find called Mechanical Genius. If you'd like to find out why, read my story below. If you don't have time or don't like to read, simply take my word for it and take your BMW to Waid before you get fleeced and frightened by anyone else. Period.
Somehow even better than the BMW dealership- Waid and his team are superb. They have taken care of my X5 (and 330 before it) quickly and far less expensively than at the dealership that shall not be named. My X5 was under warranty until last month. The car had an occasional light lurching feeling while I sat Idle at a traffic light, brought the issue up and the dealer twice told me they replaced some part and all taken care off under warranty, but to me the problem was still their and I accepted that this may be the way it is. Now no warranty I started taking to Master Automotive as I did my previous car..
On my first visit for routine service Waid found out a problem with a pinched hose that is causing a problem and he fixed for only about $200, him and his mechanic explained everything to me - above all, honest about what needs to be fixed and always checking things over to make sure you won't have any surprises down the road.
My car even had some scratches keyed by some jerk which a body shop offered to repair for $800, waid noticed and took care of it for mere $90.
When I picked up my car, I was flabbergasted when I saw the X5 sitting out there looking like new! and was even more thrilled the way it drove as good as new in every way.

I have been a customer of Waid for more than 12 years now. My BMW has been serviced only by him for the longest time. When I first found him several years ago - I went to him for the most competitive prices around. He not only completed the maintenance but also threw in free diagnostics and explained all the work and upcoming risks in detail. He was very personal in his approach.
From then onwards, he has taken care of my car and has possibly saved thousands in potential costs. I have also taken my other Acura to him for repairs.
He is a small shop with a few technicians. He is fantastic, but be realistic about time expectations - he gives you a rental car for free for the days your car is with him (if it is more than 1 day). I have shopped around from time to time on service and any modest maintenance for my car and have found the next cheapest quote was 1 1/2 times. Every time he shows me the parts he is buying through his system and the quoted wholesale prices and the break he is able to provide.
I see some less than satisfactory comments - I have never found Waid to be unreasonable or dishonest - he always has been fully transparent and gives me a call w/ options and getting my permission on all things he finds during the course of repairs.
From then, I have referred many of my friends there. Being a small shop with very reasonable prices and good customer service, there are times he gets delayed from the time committed, especially if the job ends up being bigger than expected. But he always has a rental car for me and he hasn't charged me extra for all the additional time that goes into the car!
I would honestly recommend to give him a try - he is as good as it gets. Set your expectations correct - you are not walking into a BMW service center paying 3x the price - so you don't get free car wash, coat and suit service and there could be service delays on big jobs sometimes from initial estimated time (I have found the big shops are not good abt time either on bigger jobs). But you will be happy with the personal customer service, price and transparency and that he cares about building the relationship and making you a long time customer.

- Sometimes takes longer than expected, especially if he has multiple cars ahead.
- Check the work and let him know if he missed something - as a small shop he has missed a few small details sometimes - but immediately fixed it once I noticed and pointed out.
I have been a customer of Waid at Master Automotive for a few years. Everything about the experience is exceptional. I have over 300K miles on my Mercedes S430 and he still keeps running great The shop is highly organized and efficient. The technicians are well-trained, courteous and knowledgeable. The Staff is highly professional. Waid is an accomplished businessman and a sportsman. So much that I asked him to be a mentor to our son. Master Automotive is simply a great place for you and your car.
My Porsche is getting old and had some serious problems. I tried several shops in the Bay area, including dealer ( whose quote was outragous), other independent shops made some attempts at no avail. Master Automotive was the only place that finally gave my car a perfect makeover; the technicians are well trained, courteous and knowledgeable. Waid the owner is a SAINT, he took the time to show me all the causes of the problems that kept me from enjoying my Porsche for a long time. Master Automotive is hands down the best auto repair shop I have ever been to.My car drives so well now, I feel safe and confident to drive her anywhere. I highly recommend Master Automotive.
