Best studio in Santa Barbara. They have all the aveda products I need. Cindy is hands down the best hair dresser there.

I really enjoy the professionalism and atmosphere. I have worked with Misha for my haircuts and styling and she is very good with giving me exactly what I ask for. Working with my hairs texture. I leave feeling like a million bucks and get many compliments on my cut and style. I recommend her to anyone.
Cintron Salon is permanently closed as of April 30, 2014. Thanks Yvonne Cintron
I see a pattern here! Two other reviewers here took the words right out of my mouth! You get sucked into Walter Claudio because of some hype, then find it is way overpriced and way way under quality. Just like other reviewers, Walter ruined my hair and callously avoided responsibility. I called Aveda to intervene and they said they have no control over the Aveda salons. Guess he can just get by with whatever he wants because despite the people who are unhappy there are plenty of others brought in by the hype. I guess my only recourse would have been to take him to small claims court--but who has the time for that?!
I went here for the first time because I saw it got good reviews. I had a haircut with Mimi and she did a pretty standard job for a simple wash, trim, and style. She was pleasant, and the salon had a great atmosphere. But my review has nothing to do with Mimi and her job, but rather the business. Online their price for a woman's wash and cut is listed at "starting at $40". It wasn't until after I got the service that I was informed it would be $65. I was pretty peeved at this because that is $25 more than I was expecting, and they really need to be more upfront about their pricing. I emailed the owner afterwards requesting a refund for the price difference and suggesting that they change their pricing, and I was told that while some stylists there charge $40, others charge upwards of $75. To me this is a little shady because "starting at $40" could mean that one stylist does it for $40 while everyone else could do it for $300 or even more. (Also, the cut that I got was not extravagant; a simple trim and easy style, and a beginner could have done the same job for much less.) I emailed the owner back and suggested that they list the specific pricing for each stylist or that a follow up email be sent explaining what exactly the price would be. I said I thought this would really improve the business. I didn't get a reply, so I can conclude THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT VALUE ITS CLIENTS' INPUT AND GENERAL SATISFACTION. The issue really put Bliss in a dishonorable light from my view; it's a shame because I honestly was happy with the job, just not the price and the shadiness regarding it. If you plan to go here, beware that their prices online are not accurate!
Absolutely a hidden gem! The entire staff is so sweet and the prices are very reasonable compared to many Santa Barbara salons. The owner Gunilla has been doing my hair for many years and she is a GENIUS with color. I always walk out feeling beautiful & happy. No frills, no stuck up attitudes, just nice ladies who truly love what they do.
Love Manny and his laid back Salon. Great spot to hit up.
