General Info

The Auditor-Controller Department is administered by the government of the County of Orange in California. The department is responsible for promoting public oversight, providing accountability and supporting financial decision-making in the county government. The Auditor-Controller Department provides professional accounting services that are mandated by the California Statutory Code Sections. It also provides accounting services to the County for receiving and utilizing federal, state and other agency funds. The department employs more than 400 staff members and operates through various divisions. Its central operations division provides centralized accounting and financial reporting activities for several county agencies and departments. The department s information technology division maintains and operates the Countywide Accounting Personnel System (CAPS), property tax system and other accounting systems.
