Wish I had checked his reviews before letting him in my house. 3 months later tv not fixed, although still in my possession luckily. One excuse after the other. DO NOT EVEN CALL THIS GUY! NEVER, EVER,EVER!

2014 SCAM, TV REPAIR TECHNICIAN. I am also a victim of Edwin R. Hererra, business owner, a tech pretender from LA TV Repair (a home based TV repair tech located in Santa Ana) who took money from me. Edwin Hererra came to my house and "immediately" pretended he found the problem of my TV after using his digital meter poking test points in some component in the electronic board without using any schematic diagram for reference, and then told me that a board is bad so then it will cost me $250 for spare parts to replace the electronic board because it is a digital board and he do not troubleshoot digital board but simply replace them. And then he told me that it will cost me $150 for his service or labor fee, sales pitched his 30???? years of TV repair experience, this is how his face looks like, so beware https://www.linkedin.com/pub/edwin-r-herrera-aselct/65/a82/3a5 ......

This is by far the worst person I've ever dealt with. I agree with all of the previous reviews. This man Edwin Herrera is a blatant thief and liar. He has been jerking me around since August to fix my 50" Samsung TV. After months of giving me the run around, he finally told me he couldn't fix it and that he would give me my deposit back ($250). I basically had to threaten him with a small claims case for him to finally give me a refund, only to find that the western union he sent me was only for $150!! He basically stole $100 from me and wont give me my TV back. He yelled at me and told me he's not giving me another dime.
This time it's not a threat, I will be filing a small claims against him to get my money and TV back. He is the worst possible business owner you could ever come across.
DO NOT GO HERE, HE WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND DISRESPECT YOU!!

Agree with Gary B., Edwin has also ripped us off, gave him our TV and a $200 dollar deposit. Finally got our TV back after over a month. He was unable to fix our TV, and we have still not seen a dime of our $200 deposit. He has basically stolen from us as well. Update: we have filed a claim with consumer affairs, and he has still not paid us! Consumer affairs will probably be putting a penalty on his license for not paying us, but they informed me that he has only had one prior complaint which he ended up paying, so if others file and he doesn't pay I am under the impression he will have his license revoked! Just like everyone else here has written this guy is a thief. I got the exact same run-around.. parts on back order, just a couple more weeks, and the 300 deposit had already been cashed. After almost two months of getting screwed around by this hack I called another service and came out and fixed it for $50. just by using the remote, as my blu-ray player was the issue. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TV !! Am currently suing small claims court as should everyone else on here. If you need help doing so, uawrocky@gmail.com and I will be more than happy. Edwin Herrera is a hack. He has had 7 months to fix a power board on my Samsung tv. I paid him 350 dollars and he has done nothing. When I call him he tells me Samsung doesn't have the part . I found out later he has had many complaints against him and is currently under investigation. Don't do business with this guy.

They pick up my tv January supposed to bring it back in 2 days keep giving me the run around and they,still has my TV this is March I ,will not recommend at all i paid him $350 everytime call he waiting on a part

Do not under any circumstance even invite Edwin over for a diagnostic visit. He is a crook and a liar! He came to my house yesterday while I was at work; I asked my teenage daughter to speak to him for me. He was not only incredibly rude to her, but he intentionally BROKE our tv. Before he came over, the tv screen was showing up black with a "Component 1" icon (I later learned that just means the cable box is broken) and when he left, the screen had gone completely white with no picture. I spoke to him on the phone this morning and he told me it was MY FAULT and kept spouting all this nonsense jargon about an electrical shortage. He quoted my daughter a $600 repair fee and she declined to pay him that without me being present. He then charged her an $89 diagnostic fee, which is almost double the price he told me over the phone when I made the appointment. What is most upsetting about this man's business is that he clearly is a criminal trying to squeeze as much money as possible, to the point where he doesn't even feel guilty manipulating children. That is SICK. Don't get involved with this guy; I thoroughly regret calling him.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't see these reviews before I also got ripped off. I Called LA TV REPAIR on Dec 30, 2014 and Edwin agreed to come to my house for a $39.95 fee. When he arrived he told me my 55" Panasonic HD needed some new boards and would cost $400.00 I paid $250 with check and $150 was due upon completion of work. He gave me an estimate of 2 weeks for the work. Jump forward 2 months and I had not heard from him.. called and he answered stating that he was busy but that he had some delays in the parts but TV would be complete the next week. It is now April 7th and he still has not called. I called him and surprisingly he answered the phone but promptly told me he was on lunch and he would call me back. I told him i would not wait for a call back and I wanted my TV now and that I would be driving to his shop to pick it up. He proceeded to tell me that he fixed the original boards but there was now a "new" problem and he need a week to fix it for "free". I know he didn't fix my TV or even work on it. Long story short is I've fallen victim to this thief like everyone else on this site. Do not under any circumstances trust this guy with your TV or money. I'll give him a week and then I'll start playing hardball... I'll let you know how this ends.

We got ripped off by this crook too! What is even more upsetting is that the city of Santa Ana doesn't even care!. I was told that he doesn't have a business license in the city. If you google his address, it's at his house. The city told me that they don't issue business licenses for appliance/tv repairs from a home. I said that he is operating a tv repair business from home. They didn't even care. I called the SA PD, and they didn't care either and went so far as to tell me that what he is doing isn't considered a crime - just a misunderstanding! Seriously??

Agree with Kristin G and other victims, Edwin Herrera has ripped us off and he is a thief. Gave him our 55" Samsung Color TV and a $250 dollar deposit on 9/19/14. He wrote on the contract that he would refund $125 if he could not fix the TV. As expected, he was unable to fix the TV. Finally we got our TV back after over a month after repeated requests and begging. On 12/5/14, he told me he would refund us the money in 2 weeks but we have not seen a dime of our deposit. He has basically stolen from us as well. we have filed a claim with consumer affairs and he has still not paid us! We wish that Consumer affairs will be putting a penalty on or revoke his license for not paying us, I am waiting for a call from Consumer affairs to process the complaint further. Also, I have started suing him in Small claims court. Hopefully, he will be penalized by the court.

Never give this guy, Edwin, money or your TV. If you do, you will never see them again. He is dishonest and a thief. He should be arrested and prosecuted. UPDATE 11/26/14: Filed complaint with BBB San Diego. Edwin told BBB he would send the refund. Never arrived. BBB closed the case and reduced his BBB rating from B- to F. Next stop is Small Claims Court. Complaint can be viewed on BBB San Diego web site.

I gave this guy, Edwin, my Sharp Aqous television on 7/10/14 and he was supposed to order a part and have my tv back in a week. he also told me I had to pay $174.92 plus $185 for parts and labor up front. Since then, i have gotten into a screaming match with no results. the answering machine has been full with nowhere to leave a message and right now he was supposed to call me yesterday to tell me when he is bringing my tv back, but when he didn't call as promised, i called only to get a ringing telephone and nothing else. As far as I am concerned, at this point almost a month after he took my tv, he has stolen it and I will take him to small claims court and sue him for my tv and the refund of my money. i was completely swindled and i hope everyone who wants to deal with this guy checks these reviews. He is a thief pure and simple. I will see him in court.

I hired this man to fix a problem with the sharpness of the picture on my tv. The image was blurry. The man fixed my tv and gave a 6 month guarantee. Two months later the same issue occurred and he has given me the run around and now he it's not responding to my calls. Very unhappy with this service and would highly recommend talking your business elsewhere.
