Absolutely ridiculous! I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt and making excuses for their intrusive questions because I know that there are a lot of people out there that mistreat animals but good grief do they expect you to jump through hoops to adopt a pet. All I want to do is give the sweet girl we met this weekend a loving home but they not only had to ask me additional questions but they wanted to call my landlord because the dog is a pit mix. "Okay, I understand" I said "but there's no restrictions in my lease". My landlord told her there was a weight restriction. There isn't I checked and I even sent a copy of the lease to Janie but that isn't good enough. They need either a verbal or written agreement from my landlord. Um, my lease that is a LEGALLY BINDING contract is a written agreement that clearly states MAY have pets. I mean jeez do these people have any common sense. They are overcharging and making people jump through hoops when all we want to do is give these sweet babies a loving home. I am so disappointed and disgusted. Terrible excuse of a "pet rescue".On a positive note the young lady volunteer that introduced us to the sweet pup was great. Unfortunately, I never got her name.

Multiple people I spoke to told me NOT to adopt from PRBJ, but after reading the mixed reviews I figured maybe it was just a few people that had a bad experience. The staff members are so rude it's unbelievable! Not once did they show any sign of professionalism! Such a shame because we would of loved to adopt our next few pups and kitties from there since they are so close to home. Fortunately we have been given the name of another place, recommended by friends, and have completed an adoption there.(The Way Home, Inc.) I'm not really sure if these people are really in the business of giving an animal a "forever home"
She uses people, I was called into work on three different occasions, totaling 18 hours, and was told that I wasn't getting paid because I hadn't filled out an application. One that was never given to me. A complete fraud, think twice about doing any business there...
These people are crazy. I can appreciate people wanting to make sure dogs go to a good home but they take it to another level. Avoid these animal control freaks. Judy herself is one of the rudest people I have ever met.
Saturday I was able to take an awesome new addition to our family, Tiger. The negative reviews seem to be from people that hadn't followed the rules made by this organization, such as having your other animals spayed/ neutered and is giving an unfair review. The rules are set because they want to make sure your a good dog owner. Our family meet huge hearted people and meet our new love. Thank you!!
Our two Cairn Terriers love to go to Pet Paradise. During the day they have a view of either the swimming pool and other dogs playing or wide open green space. In either case they can see dogs on the adjacent large spaces. We keep our dogs together. In the evening they use their private doggie door to go inside for the night. We use the option of paying a little etra for five additiojnal playtimes and special treats. While my husband and I are on vacation so are our pets!
We call Pet Paradise our dog's (Siena) vacation hotel! Siena gets very excited once she knows she is on her way to Pet Paradise. We feel we are leaving her in good hands and loving care.
Pet rescue By Judy is an incredible group of people that took in a dog that very few people thought would have a chance. Smokey was an old guy that had been dumped in our neighborhood. Very sweet, calm, loving dog that now has a chance at a forever home! Thank you so much!!
I love this place and my 2 rescues from here. Saving an animal is the best feeling ever and I would never adopt from a place that put animals down- this shelter is a no-kill shelter.
