Children's Choice

Over priced for microwaved "hot lunches." My child screamed in terror every time we even drove past this horrible place. I first thought that it was just because of some separation anxiety and that being his first time away from me. It only got worse until one time my child made it out IN TO THE PARKING LOT on a busy road before anyone noticed he had left, someone(not an employee) brought him back inside as he told them he was trying to go home. Keep in mind he was barely 3 at the time. That day the teacher then punished him by LOCKING him in the kitchen room by himself. Which then they attempted to blame me for not teaching my son to "behave better and stay put." They forced him to take a nap- when he has not napped since he was one. The floors are always filthy and never vacuumed, and they make they children sit or lay on these dirty floors. Needless to say, it has been almost a year since my son went there and STILL whenever we drive by Children's Choice, he begs not to go back there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not even for a second. Not even if tuition was reasonable- not even if it was free. Never. Horrible establishment.

I had to find a credible daycare FAST, and money was an issue at the time. I interviewed several state referrenced agencies on the phone and decided on a daycare facility near Children's Choice, picking it merely based on the phone interview and the cost. I faxed them over my sons registration and planned to start him the following day - - but prudence got the best of me and I took time on my lunch hour at a new job to go and tour the facility. When I got there I was MORTIFIED! There was NO WAY that I was going to let my son spend his days there in this sub-par, unsafe, no organization facility! I panicked. I didn't know what to do.

I drove around the corner to Children's Choice without and appointment and their director, with no warning, was HAPPY to give me an impromptu tour. She calmed my nerves and let me cry, and I was a stranger to her! What I found there were classrooms well equiped, clean, and organized, staff that was attentive to the children, curriculums that were posted. And as I walked through, I found children who were anxiously engaged in structured play or working on crafts or worksheets. The difference in the two facilities was NIGHT and DAY! I can't even begin to express, now that he's been there 8 months, how RELIEVED and COMFORTED I am to have chosen Childrens Choice. My 4 year old son knows all of his letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. He can write legibly. He knows songs and nursery rhymes and he is fed and cared for by people who love him and have worked to personally know him.

This day care is definitely a step above any others I've seen. Kudos to their owner, manager, and staff. You can definitely entrust your precious children to anyone there.
