Called to inquire about a declaw. They said we needed to have a consultation visit. Not once did they mention a $43 fee. Nor did they tell us to bring our cat with us. We talked with the doctor about the procedure for about 25 minutes. We get done with the consultation and go out in the parking lot to discuss our options and they run out to tell us that we owe them $43 for the consultation. We said they never said anything about a fee. The lady said she would talk to the doctor and call us tomorrow. Next day they call saying the fee still exists. And we have to pay it. After many phone calls with the manager. She says she will reduce the cost to $31. She called me implying that my wife and I had issues. And that there must be some miscommunication between myself and my wife. Because my wife was the one to make all the calls. Not once did the clinic tell her there would be a fee. The manager basically said that the problem was between me and my wife and she didn't want to get into the middle of that.
I agreed to pay the $31 bill and they can have my cats records ready to go.
Never had a problem before this. But it is the principal of saying the problem is the communication between me and my wife. And never once stating that the clinic should be held accountable for charging me without saying.
They wanted to charge me $495 for a cat declaw. Halsey clinic will do it for $235. So basically Sandy clinic has been over charging me for years. Well they lost a good customer over $31 that they should have wrote off. I will never go back there again. I am local and love to support my local community and businesses. I buy local even if I do get charged more. it isn't about the money here. it is about the clinics manager saying it is all because me and my wife don't communicate. She crossed the line and lost a good customer for life.

Expertise
Professionalism

Unprofessional. Be careful if you bring in any pet that you love, there is a good chance things might not go well. Front desk staff is awesome but the physicians and the owners are sleazy. If your pet has surgery of any kind, be prepared to pay for another2-3 surgerys, but trust them when they say, it's not their fault.

I have been taking my pets to this clinic for 20+ years and they have been nothing but Professional and very caring to our pets. One of our dogs was diaginosed with a rare form of Cancer and Dr. Betz referred us immediately to a cancer clinic and continued contact with us throughout our labs treatment. (even while not treating him herself) to me that is the kind of Doctor I want looking out for me and my animals.

Clean clinic, friendly staff and a pet supply store next door also makes coming here a great and convenient experience. Thank you Sandy Animal Clinic!

I recently had to have my dogs spleen removed and I could not afford to have it done at the specialty clinic. They gave me the name of Sandy animal clinic and said they had competent doctors there that could do the surgery for a lot less. I went there and the surgery was a success and it didn't end up being cancer. I'm so glad I went there. They are now my new vet

My first visit to this vet clinic was a good one. My sister takes her pets here. I was visiting her when her cat scratched my dog's and caused a deep ulcer. The young female doctor told me all about these kind of scratches and showed me pictures of what to look for if it gets worse. It healed up great. I would recommend.

I have known the crew at sandy animal clinic since 2003. They have done a fantastic job with my little dog tango. When she got hit by a car several years ago they had all the state of the art equipment and facilities to patch her up and run a thorough test on her. They watched her and took excellent care of her. Every experience has been great. The attention to detail is excellent. Steve C., Greaham, Oregon

I recently went to Sandy Animal Clinic when I was visiting my brother on the mountain. We had accidentally ran over our own dog with a snowboard and he had a huge cut on his paw. they got us in and took care of his bleeding paw right away. everyone was pretty nice and even gave me a little booty thing to keep his paw dry in the snow. My brother uses them and said they have always been great.

Highly recommend the Sandy animal clinic. My dog broke her leg and I was quoted several thousand dollars to have it repaired from a surgeon. I called around and found that sandy animal clinic was willing to do it for a lot less. I really loved the doctor that took care of her and she did an excellent job. The staff was so caring and took great care of my Jessie. Her leg healed fine and she is doing wonderful. I am so glad they were able to get me in and see me.

I started using Sandy Animal Clinic when I moved into the area for all my pets. Just a short time ago, my beloved calico cat named Philly was struggling in some areas; she was 17 years old at this point in her life. I took her to see the vet and after some discussion decided to let the vet firstly give her a shot while I held her to just go to sleep peacefully in my lap. I could not and would not stay for the rest. The pain of her passing was and is still too great. Our family loved Philly all of her days and she brought us joy and love. Thank you to the vets for helping me see that she had a good life; it does bring me some comfort. Philly rest in peace my love and may you always be a kitten in kitty heaven.

I highly recommend the seminary clinic. Dr. Betz and Dr. Loftin are really great doctors and really care about your pet. My dog Sally first saw Dr. Betz when she was 10 weeks old and saw her every year until she contracted cancer at the age of 11 years. It was very comforting to have Dr. Betz by my side on Sally's last day. Dr. Betz was able to see her grow and bond with her over the years and I am truly grateful for that. The staff was very caring and they all signed a lovely book for Sally's passing Which I will forever cherish. thank you for being there
