We visited Mt Hood Pet Resort because

We visited Mt Hood Pet Resort because or normal spot was closed after Christmas. This will be our first and last visit to the pet resort. When we first walked in we had to wait for Trina to come out of the back to help us, upon entering there was also a very strong scent of urine that was overwhelming.
We have used self serve dog washes before so we didn't need instruction on how it works but I could see someone new to the concept struggling with how to do it correctly as no help was offered by Trina in that capacity. The resort only offers 2 towels per dog wash (unless you steal some from another tub), no washcloths for face washing/drying and only 2 shampoos, no conditioner (don't let the website fool you). Another issue I have is that there are only 2 large dog drying areas and they are up against the wall. This makes is very difficult to dry your dogs as they are tied up rather short to the wall. The bucket of brushes that are included for grooming seem like a lot at first but when you actually look at the brushes they are all the same shedding brush, just 3 different sizes. I also had to go ask for nail clippers as there were none in sight (I can guess that they do that so they can try to get you to pay for the service instead of doing it yourself).
Our last issue was with the payments we made when we left. They were far more expensive than our normal shop as we were charged $20 each for a short haired Border Collie and an Australian Sheppard mix. After we got home I went to the website to look at the prices. It states ""Dogs: $15.00, Xtra Large and Xtra Hairy dogs $20.00"". I called Trina to question the price we were charged and first she stated ""all dogs except yorkies and other small ones are $15"". When I asked her why we were then charged $20 for each of our dogs she reverted her statement and said ""all dogs except small breeds are $20"". After a suggestion to Trina that she maybe clarify that on the website for better understanding I got a simple ""ok bye"".
All in all I would suggest to anyone I know to go to Pup Scrub in Gresham instead. All the problems listed here for the Resort do not exist there and it's worth me driving from Sandy to have a 100% better experience.
