I purchased a service plan for my refrigerator from Sears and they have been fantastic. I recently had an issue with my icemaker, and making the appointment was super easy and they accommodated my schedule within a day or two. The technician arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem, and even had the part in his truck to fix the issue that same day. Could not be happier with Sears Home Service.

Every trip out here means another 2-3 week delay for arrival of parts and a new service tech visit. We've been w/o our Induction Cooktop for 3 months now. Sears finally agreed to replace it - but that was on June 3. It's now 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting for delivery and a service technician to install it. Now, I'm informed it won't be until July 3rd. This is my cooktop stove -- something I use every day!

We've had good service in the past, but this time they really blew it. So far they have been out here four times to fix our Kenmore fridge, and it is working worse now than on the onset. And each callback was a 2-week delay so do the math: we've been without a fridge for eight weeks. We've been buying ice from Safeway at the rate of 40 lbs per day and are mired in water from melting ice.

Everything went great. My dryer had a door lock issue and the technician came within a day or two, had to order a part, and it was fixed the next couple of weeks. No issue.

Terrible. On January 30 I asked for a repair for my dishwasher. I waited two weeks for the repair. New part was ordered by 1st repair person to be sent to my home, and then, according to Sears, lost via UPS. Another part was sent. Rescheduling couldn't occur until the part arrived. When it did arrive, repair was completed on March 16. I had already spend $233 for the part, plus additional amount of $135 for labor & $49 for just coming to my home. On March 16, an additional $110 was charged (the repair person #2 refused to do the job unless it was paid) for 10 minutes spent by him for installing the part... I have several appliances from Sears and live in dread that I will require Sears to repair them. I will never buy appliances from Sears again. 1 1/2 months to get the repair completed? In the meantime, whenever I talked to a Sears person about this, I was referred to someone from outside the USA to discuss this.
