Skip-N-Serve is worth every penny. Chris was very courteous, professional and offers several other services other than serving court papers. Good to know. He gave us a piece of mind. Let me tell you what led up to us hiring his services. My husband and I had our master bathroom remolded by a contractor that took us for a total of some $4300. If you have to go through the process of suing someone, the second thing that needs to happen after you file the legal documents with the court house is to make sure the person your suing gets served. After filing the paperwork at the court house we went to the local police department and paid a fee for the Sheriff department to serve the defendant. Then it is a matter of waiting until you get a letter stating that the defendant was served. I waited 8 days to call and see if there were any attempts made to serve him. I was told only one attempt was made and that they would only try two more times. If they were not successful with three attempts, then I would have to go to the court house and file a request for an extension of the hearing date. Another week went by, then another and after a whole month went by, we find out they had only made one attempt. What if the person we were suing skip town, go stay with a friend or relative and not be served at all. He knew we were going to take him to court. All he would have to do is not answer the door. So after a month, I decided to contact Skip-N-Serve. Chris returned our call right away and after explaining to him what the details were he offered to come by our house and talk to us in person. After my husband and I talked to him we were so impressed with what he said he could do that we hired him on the spot. He even revised my original court papers because I had excluded additional monies that he included in the revised version, took it to the courthouse the very next morning and filed them on our behalf at no extra cost. Then that very morning, he contacted my husband to tell him that he had served the defendant his court papers. WOW...DONE! An entire month we waited for him to be served and he managed to get him to answer the door. Chris even told us he could find him even if he relocated to a different address. Also he could help us in getting our money if we were awarded the judgment. Skip-N-Serve is worth the call, so if you are in this kind of court situation or if you need background information done on someone, call him. It doesn't cost anything to make a call. Tell him what you need and if he can help he will. You won't be sorry. I read peoples comments all the time on product and services. I felt I needed to write about this great service we received. Hope it helps you if you are looking for this kind of service. Take care.

What can I say, Chris Demirdjian, the owner of SkipNServe is the Michael Jordan of Process Serving. He epitomizes professionalism and a superb mastery of his craft. Not only that, he genuinely cares about his clients. He doesn't try to upsell you other services or do any kind of bait and switch. In my opinion, he is not in this business solely for the money. This is a labor of love for him. I had a case where we could not serve a guy. We tried the Sheriff and other 4 other Process Serving companies, but Chris, who was initially trained as Private Investigator, used his skills and training to figure out when the guy would leave the house. He did the old Robert Redford trick from the movie The Sting, where he put a piece of paper and wedged it in the garage door the night before. He got there the following day around 7:30 am and saw that it was still there. He waited until about 8:10 am and left to go serve another paper. He came back around 8:30am and saw that it had dropped to the floor. He then knew that he leaves the house between 8:10 and 8:30. He did this for 3 consecutive days and the pattern was the same. So, on the 4th day he got there around 8 and waited. Sure enough, at 8:20 the garage door opened and he served the guy.
In another case, he recommended some other avenues for me to take that steered business away from him and ended up being the correct approach for me to take.
He's not just a Process Server, he also finds people that don't want to be found. I had to locate one of the defendant's in my case who no one could find and even hired some well-known PI's. No luck. I called Chris and he found them. It did take him longer than expected, but that was because they were making an effort not to be found.
Finally, I gave him a collection case last month and he was able to locate their bank account and place of employment. We first served the bank and got most of the judgment amount and then served the employer with the Wage Garnishment. We are now receiving the balance in increments each month for the next 6 months.

Chris is truly a one stop shop. He is determined and truly loves what he does. You might pay a premium for his services, but he is worth every penny.

Ok, so it's been mentioned a few times about all the 5* reviews. They're legit. Unfortunately, I had to take a guy small claims court who I only had an outdated PO Box for. I first hired a "server" on Thumbtack who just took my money and ran. So, I had now been screwed twice in just a couple months.
So, of course, I was hesitant about where to go next, but then I found Chris. He was very understanding of my situation and very helpful in every aspect of the small claims and the whole process could not have gone smoother. He found the guy the very next day after I hired him. I highly recommend him.
Thank you Chris for everything, with his help, we may not even have to go to court as this guy has contacted me about payment. That would not have happened without Chris help.

Fantastic! Chris could work for the Mission Impossible Team. We needed two people we are suing served. One is a major slime-ball who managed to evade service from even the IRS/Treasury Department for months, but this slime-ball was no match for Chris. Chris made 3 attempts over a 2 1/2 days and nabbed him and his little scheming accomplice.

We found Skip N Serve when I suggested my lawyer look on Yelp to find a process server. He said "ok" even though his law firm had their go-to vendor. He was impressed with the whole process and the results. My attorney handled it all over the phone and said the process was a snap. I didn't meet Chris in person, but if I do I'll give him a big kiss.

This whole suing thing is dreadful, but this is a very important and big money case, so getting these two fast was very important to us. We knew how sneaky the one had been in the past with other people who tried to have him served and the other, well, we didn't know. Oh the joy in knowing this part is done. Chris will be my go-to guy going forward, should I have to sue anyone else. Highly recommend.

Chris is the BEST! I spoke to a lot of people before I chose to go with Skip N Serve. I didn’t feel good about any of them. I didn’t feel like I could trust any of them, and some of them changed their rates on me, within minutes of being on a phone call. Chris was very nice and his prices were fair and straight forward. There was no gray area, as there was with so many of the others. He took on my information and had my case filed and two defendants served within a day. It was pain free. He is a pleasure to work with. He’s so nice, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to help you any way he can. Do yourself a big favor and forget the others. Go straight to Skip N Serve. Chris will take good care of you, and you will be very thankful. I would recommend him to everyone, and use him again every time. Love Him!!!

Chris is the best!!! I initially contacted SkipNServe due to all the great reviews from Yelpers. Now I know why they have an all 5 star rating. Chris contacted me right away to help serve a difficult to get a hold of client. With the holidays fast approaching, I wanted to make sure I could catch them.

Chris said that he would be out of town for Xmas which was during the time I needed the defendant to be served. However, he gave me the BEST tips ever to help serve the defendant in my case. I was completely blown away that someone who didn't know me would help me like that out of the goodness of his heart. He definitely knows the laws.

I ended up using the advice Chris gave me and thankfully a friend of mine nearby was home for the holidays and was able to perform the job. If my friend wasn't going to be able to do it, I was absolutely going to hire Chris after he came back from Xmas. After talking to him, I knew he would get the job done and done right. If the person is not properly served, it can cause serious issues with your case.

Other servers that I contacted only would do three attempts or limited attempts. SkipNServe will keep going until it was completed. They are worth the money and you do get the fees back should you win in court. A definite win-win!

*SkipNServe can also help collect for you after you win - so be sure to save their number.

Unfortunately, I had to take two men to small claims court. I was advised by someone with previous experience in the judicial system not to use the Sheriffs' Department to serve my papers. I had two papers to be served 1) Plaintiff's Claim and ORDER to Go to Small Claims Court and 2) SMALL CLAIMS SUBPOENA AND DECLARATION. I was told by the person with previous experience in the judicial system that the Sheriff's Department is fine for serving businesses because they will only serve papers during normal business hours. However, when serving a private individual the Sheriff's Department will leave a card for the defendant, if the defendant is not home or not available at his/her place of business. Leaving a card for the defendant will only give the defendant an opportunity to dodge further efforts of being served. After three failed attempts to serve the papers the Sheriff's Department will not make any further attempts to serve the defendant. When I was at the small claims court to file my papers against the defendant, there was a woman complaining about the Sheriff's Department's failed attempts to serve her papers. I searched for a process server on YELP and read one review (was unaware YELP has filtered reviews and that we have to click on a link to access the filtered reviews) about SkipNServe with a five star rating. It was not just the rating that impressed me but what the woman wrote about Chris that propelled me to give Chris a call. She said Chris managed to locate the defendant and served the defendant at a location that was not provided by her. In my case I was unsure if the defendant's place of residence was current. Chris was extremely confident he would be able to do the job. Chris charged only $10 more than the Sheriff's Department to get the job done. The difference is that Chris not only served the two defendants in a timely manner (the first defendant was served on the third day after Chris received my case) he continues to serve until the defendant is served (served the second defendant on his fourth attempt, exactly two weeks after he received my case). Chris also guarantees he will serve the defendant with a money back guarantee. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Chris Demirdjian of SkipNServe is the best Process Server in Los Angeles. Chris also gave me great advice about the subpoena I served the defendant.

Improperly Served

I was supremely disappointed with Skip-N-Serve's performance. Proof of Service is the weakest link in a Small Claims suit, so it is where the process server has the opportunity to make this whole horrible experience that much easier. I gave Skip-N-Serve everything they needed to properly serve the paperwork. I gave them the business address, a list of all the officers in the company, even the home address of the owner. They come back with proof of service of some guy who nobody knows who it is and misspellings of the company name. There is no where on the form where it indicates who this person is. My proof of service was denied and my court date canceled. What's more, the company I'm suing has gone out of business (a fact I was unaware of), so not only did they serve the wrong person, they served the wrong company. The owner of Skip-N-Serve sees no reason why I should get a refund.

It seems very easy for people to give a negative comment about a business so arbitrarily as the PLaintiff has done with the case referenced above. The fact of the matter is, I told the Plaintiff when he called that I would provide him with an amended Proof of Service with the name spelled correctly and if needed we would re-serve the paper at no charge. Furthermore, the individual served stated he was the owner of the business indicated on the paperwork. Finally, the court case has not been canceled, it was just reset for another day.
