repair??? my front loading washing machine needed a new hinge--which I ordered and received before the repairman was scheduled. He showed up on dec 20, installed the hinge, and everything functioned fine.But 2 days after his visit, nothing worked! All it said was: door open. Of course IT IS OPEN since we cannot close it.
We were very inconvenienced by the very long wait--20+ -- days before a repair person showed up. And now still NO WORKING washing machine.

First, the technician could not find my house. He was knocking on my neighbor's door although the house numbers are clearly visible. The service technician said he completed the repair on the clothes washer but when we went to use the washer 4 days later it was making the same noise. Another call to the service center resulted in not being able to schedule a return service appointment for another 11 days. We were stuck with a machine full of wet laundry and water. Scheduling said they could not get anyone out any earlier.
I have a Sears appliance plan, so this visit was for maintenance rather than repair. The technician was friendly, competent and efficient. He had to look at my stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer and did all four in good time but without rushing. He was able to stop the noise in my dryer (fortunately it was an easy fix) and completed everything to my satisfaction. On a scale of 1-10, he was a 10.
So happy with Sears service response time, and repair help. Much improved from the last attempt at repair service with a technician where I had to wait about 12 days with a broken wash! This time around, the response was prompt, technician was pleasant, honest & informative, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them the next time I'm desperate for repairs!
Washer wouldn't cycle past filling up,so called Sears repair. Came out the day after Thanksgiving. Checked with me a number of times to verify repair date and time. Kept me informed by texts when repair person would arrive. When he arrived he quickly identified the problem. He verified that he had the necessary part with him, but was able to fix the problem without replacing the part. He explained things as he went along then processed my credit card payment and was finished in less than an hour. I was VERY pleased with the repair service.
I have called the service dept multiple time to file a formal complaint against the technician. Third time coming out to fix refrigerator. Did not fix it.
So far nothing is resolved. Technician so bad that I needed to tape our interactions
Refused to help unless I paid him $140 for service call. As appliances are covered by warranty this should not have happened. As soon as he was paid he gathered his unused tools and left
Now I have the joy of taking even more time off to have the same issue fixed. Next time that Sears is able to send someone out is Dec 3rd
They should allow negative stars
This problem started in April
