The new owner Sushi Chef is not the same as when he was the just an employee sushi chef. Now that he is the owner it does not feel the same. Food is great, but he is moody and not friendly anymore. Not very enjoyable service is just ok now. Too bad I really want to love this place as I did with old owners.

Overall
Sushi for the educated taste

A modest exterior and quiet street are misleading factors for those checking out Yuzu. Owned by the same as famed Sakae in Burlingame, Yuzu has the same strengths without the hard-core sake afficionados. They carry superior quality fish, and great chefs on both the raw and cooked side. Daily specials are unusual dishes that regulars gobble up, and others may never get to eat in a U.S. restaurant. Staff are friendly and accomodating, for the best meal ask for the chef's recommendation for a combo of cooked and raw.
