I called the number listed online for a rental. I made the reservation. I showed up to the pick up location and was informed that I needed a major credit card and that a debit card wouldn’t work for the deposit. I also let them know I could make he deposit in cash if needed. The staff said that there was nothing they could do for me. I got a major credit card number and information from a family member. They then said that they can’t enter numbers and the card had to physically be at the store for them to accept it. None of this was explained to me in making the reservation. I was dropped off and had to call a ride to get back home. This location and staff are on the bottom as far as service. I ended up not getting the rental due to it not even being possible. This affected my trip to report for duty. I will never use enterprise rent a car again.
This is the best most honest dealership I have ever visited. The employees were very helpful and treated me with respect. I had what I thought was a major problem. It turned out to be a quick fix. The guys in parts rock!

While the car was in excellent shape, clean and right for my needs, I made the mistake of dropping it off before the business opened and took a hit on mileage. They add over 100 miles to my bill! I had two completely different mileage in and out numbers and neither was close. I argued with my contract in hand and they changed the 'out' mileage explaining, "It happens all the time." They did not change my 'in' mileage as I could not prove the odometer reading. "You could have taken a picture," they suggested when I insisted the mileage was significantly less. Sure, I could have taken a picture anytime. If this 'happens all the time' someone is incompetent or a thief. I am a very frequent customer renter at Enterprise rental and there is nothing I can say that is negative about everyone that works at the San Marcos location.
