So I left a request for estimate on their simple website, not expecting much; and I received an email very quickly from Nancy. After providing the source and destination addresses, I immediately received a professional, good-faith move estimate. Since I was already impressed by Christie speed, clear and complete estimate and upfront communications, I booked them immediately. I didn't bother getting a second move estimate to compare. I was already sold on San Jose Movers. As to Nancy's word on the day of the move, the movers contacted me 15 mins before their arrival. Also, they arrived ON TIME. The moving trunk was clean (outside and inside), organized with extra shipping materials which came in handy for my move. The 3-men team (Christopher, Leo and Sammy) were all professional in appearance which showed they took their job very seriously. All 3 worked hard for 7 hours and didn't take a break. They took extra time and care to make sure everything moved without damage by doing extra packing where I was lacking. After the move, they had me inspect the interior of the truck which I thought was a good touch.

The morning of our move we were called shortly before they were supposed to arrive, because of inclement weather we were forced to push back the start time, which was totally fine with us. I liked moving with "Mover Pros" very much. They transported all our furniture and all our things from one three-bedroom apartment to another. We did not do anything. They packed all items to the boxes, wrote on each box what is inside, marked fragile items. They wrapped every piece of furniture in blankets, disassembled what was needed. They hung the clothes into wardrobe boxes right on the hangers, so nothing crumpled. Nothing got broken nor damaged during the move. The team assembled the furniture in the new place, hung out the clothes in the rooms, and even made the beds.The team is very professional. They know a lot of methods allowing to work fast and accurately. Enter Mover Pros. I called Christie at Mover Pros and asked if she could possibly help me. It was short notice and she was not initially sure if she could help but she made some phone calls and told me that she had a team that could do it. Not only did the quote they offered come in at less than the other company but they also said they could do the move from Sacramento to Berkeley in a single day WITH packing services.I signed up in part out of desperation and due to a lack of other options but Mover Pro delivered on their promise. Three guys showed up and made quick work of my apartment's left over packing. They then delivered said goods to my wife in Berkeley and unloaded everything. Everything arrived in good order.

If a company isn't an AMSA member, that doesn't mean it isn't reputable, but an AMSA membership is a clear indication of legitimacy.
