When life is not going quite the way you want it to, and you are unable to get it back on track, there is no need to feel stuck. I can help you!
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I listen carefully and respectfully to your story. Using my professional expertise, I can help you identify how to move forward towards a more positive situation, whether it is in relationship with a partner, parents or children, a work situation, or even simply about your own adjustment to your life circumstances.Together, we will come to a point where dealing with your issues gets easier, and life feels manageable once again!
Many people also come to me for the purpose of personal exploration and growth In these cases, psychoanalytic psychotherapy gives us an opportunity to do deeper work, resolving attitudes from childhood that are no longer useful, and find joy and spirituality in life!
I work with adults, and couples, and also have an interest in working with people who suffer from chronic diseases, like cancer, arthritis or fibromyalgia. I have twenty-five years of experience, which includes working with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. I can't make your diseases vanish, but I can help you cope better and feel less alone.
I also welcome many of my clients who come from cultures outside the United States or are in mixed-culture relationships. Cultural adjustments can result in feelings of loneliness, loss and confusion about who you are and what you believe in. Working together in psychotherapy can help you to develop a new sense of yourself, while building your self-esteem and clarifying your values.
I am smart, respectful, compassionate, non-judgmental and discreet.
