Business Description
At Reinegger Frame and Wheel, we're more than an automotive service center. We're committed to customer satisfaction and we strive for excellence in all our work. We pride ourselves on servicing those modified, custom and otherwise non-standard vehicles that other shops struggle with. Our motto: "If it rolls, creeps or crawls. We can fix it." Marty Bourque, the owner and service manager, has over 25 years of automotive service industry experience at this same location and 37 years total experience. In addition to his certifications Marty is an active member of the Automotive Service Council of California. Marty is a recognized authority on vehicle suspension operation and design. He contributes to industry publications like the Automotive Service Digest Magazine and is often retained to present expert testimony in vehicular cases before the courts. All our technicians and service managers have completed 4 years of the automotive trades apprenticeship program and 8,000 hours of on the job training before they were awarded their journeyman certificates from the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union. We're all proud members of the IAMAW.

Expensive, Avoid,

They diagnosed and replaced left front wheel bearing on my car and all is good.

One year later bring it back with growling noise from front, after having the right front wheel bearing replaced at another shop (for far less money). Other shop advises left front wheel bearing is bad, and suggests return to Reinegger for left bearing to see if they will honor warranty.

Call day before, explain situation, speak with Bourque and make an appointment for next day 8:30am, back when they were on 3rd Street. He arrives after 10am, kept waiting 1.5 hours, even ask his employees to call & find out where he is. Finally arrived with his wife and both separately give me totally conflicting excuses and no apology, as to why they were not there earlier

New diagnosis: it's the carrier bearing in my transmission, not wheel bearing they replaced. Visit to dealer confirms bad left front wheel bearing, the same bearing they replaced. Advise is to stay away, they care little for their customers, despite whatever dog & pony show they might put on, and as a result charge a lot of $$ for what they do.....why wouldn't they.....there time is
gold. Beware, if they estimate $200-$300, it will be $300+ There are far better options out there for repairs to your vehicle.

THANK YOU

I was convinced that Marty, Jimmy and the entire team at Reinegger Frame and Wheel, care about my pickup as much as I do.

My 1941 Plymouth truck has never run and handled as good since I have owned it.

I am the second owner and have had it for 40 years.

If you have any auto service need I highly recommend starting hear first. I wish I had.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Being a non care guy I ask a classic car friend of mine a question and he suggested Reinegger Frame and Wheel and sure glad I went there, for several reasons just to list a few, is the Greeting with a smile from the "BOSS" wife that keeps a handle on what goes on in the shop, which impressed me that the left hand knew what the right hand was doing. They make you feel very comfortable from the very first time you drive into their business. If Marty the "BOSS" doesn't quite have an answer ask Shelly, but don't get me wrong Marty knows his business, I found that out in just a few minutes of talking to him, he knows the Geometry of an automobile, especially those custom cars like mine. Marty is very glad to help you out with any problem your trying to solve, even when applicable will give you a couple options to choose from. I was very pleased with the service from day one when I first walked in and the service was performed with certain quality and on time performance, to a professional staff with Kenny. This is a company that would be worth your while to check out the next time your need work done on your car. Larry 55 Chevy

Expertise And Attention To Detail

I have been the proud owner of my 1955 De Soto Firedome since 1971.

When I recently had a need for expert repairs for my brakes, I asked a fellow De Soto enthusiast about the best repair facility to take my car. He immediately recommended Reinegger’s Frame & Wheel which has been a San Jose icon since 1946.

For the last eight years, Reinegger’s has been under the expert ownership and management of Marty and Shelly Bourque. In addition to his extensive vehicle experience, I learned that Marty’s background includes mechanical engineering.

I was sufficiently impressed by Marty’s professionalism and knowledge that I expanded the work performed by Reinegger’s to include the engine, transmission, suspension and differential.

Whether it was Marty or the master mechanics Jimmy or Kenny, the staff at Reinegger’s has a love of older vehicles and the specialized expertise to perform work marked by precision, attention to detail, commitment to excellence and the exceeding of customer expectations.

Worth my time!

Even though I knew it would be expensive fix, I had heard great things about this company.
They fixed my car in a day, which is how long they said it would take.
It has never driven better in the 10 years that I have had it.
Definately worth taking your car to. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND ARE GOOD AT IT.
EXCELLENT!
