The taste of everyone is quite different. A dish seems to be excellent to one person may be a bad taste to someone else. I have eaten at Ha Long Bay Buffet once and found that, in general, the food overthere is quite delicious. It is cooked in the Vietnamese style, and quite enjoyable; moreover, if it's not good, why so many people get line to wait for their tables? Usually, you have to wait at least 10 minutes before you are invited to the table that someone just left in order that you can enjoy your eating. So whether you want to go over there or not depends on your choice and taste instead of listening to the idea of someone else.

Don't go there.food no good

If you need to try Vietnamese food for the first time, this place is ideal w/o paying much (only $11 for lunch; compare to $5-8 outside/dish). Decent food, a bit bland for me, but hey, can't expect much from a buffet. Since the place just opened, not very well thought out. Their most popular dishes has an extensions long line. You can easily wait 20 minutes since there are only 2 cooks making banh xeo and banh khot. Plus ppl in front of u would get multiple plates since they had to wait long. The variety of Vietnamese main dishes aren't all available for the day. They only serve a few, so I would suggest you call ahead if they was a particular dish that you really want to eat. FYI, if you want to eat bun bo, pho, or bun rieu, you don't have to wait in that long line. Just stand in front of the line and let one of the cooks knows. BTW, those cooks need a tip jar considering all of their hard constant hard work. Also, it would be better if they had their servers divided up to serve a particular section. This way, they can track their customers better in order to fulfill their needs. Last but not least, their refill system sucks. They can't keep up. Too many servers, not enough cooks. They run out of some of the food and won't even refill not until 30 minutes later. Some they don't even refill after making us wait for a long time. Anyways, hope this would help. I would probably wait until things are improve to even consider returning. It's just a matter of time for them to learn from many of their hickups.
