In my experience, this Chevron is excellent. I have brought 6 different vehicles here for service. All repairs were done correctly and in a timely manner. I've had terrible experiences with dealers and now will only bring my cars here to Chevron for service. They have picked up my cars from home. Given me a ride to/from home. Top notch service. I always recommend them to people. I find it strange that some people would think they could get a free smog check? Or others would say they were told to take their car elsewhere? Seems to be MUCH more to those stories.......read between the lines.

My 83 year old father brought his car in for a smog check. The car did not pass and the mechanic told him to bring it back and leave it so they could test it cold. He said that there would be no additional charge.
When we went back to pick it up, they held the car hostage until we paid a second smog check fee. We traveled quite far to this place based on a recommendation and left very unhappy.

They are rude and unfriendly. In addition, they kind of talk down to customers as if they are doing you a favor for the service/repair which they charge TOO much already. One would think with their high prices, they would have a good customer service, but this is not the case. In fact, in more than two decades of my experience with mechanics I have found them the rudest. They don’t even have a chair/bench for customer s to set on while waiting for their car to be finish. I would never recommend this place to anyone. This was my first and last time I went to them. I should have read the reviews about them before going there, but hopefully others can avoid them. There are many friendly mechanics and fairly priced places around.

Well, I don't normally write reviews, but here I just had to. I saw that there were two and only two reviews on this business, an they were both bad. I thiink some people will have a bad experience at a good place--it happens. This shop (and I have encountered a lot) has exceeded expectations with service! Dave is the manager of the shop and he has gone way above and beyond to fix the car and assure us of his knowledge and honesty. My girlfriends car has had an intermittent starting problem over the last few months. She would go a week with no problem, then get stuck somewhere when I was at work. We brought it in last week and they found a problem with the battery bolt. Another week went by, it occured again. So, back to the shop, everything checked out fine. Then again, and Dave told us to call him when it happened he would try to come to us. Yestarday, when I was at work it happened again and my girlfriend called Dave who immediatley came TO THE CAR and diagnosed it on the spot! He got the car to the shop, drove my girlfriend home and had the starter put in the next day by noon! A lot of shops ""wash their hands"" on these kind of problems because they could end up losing money trying to diagnose something like this. Dave was patient and honest about not replacing a part that did not necessarily need to be replaced. His price quotes were accurate and his communication during this process was thourough and informative. Another super cool thing about getting service to your vehicle here is that they are open late. The shop closed at 5:00, you just got off work... no problem, you can go to cashier 24 hours a day and pick it up! To those who have had a bad experience here-chalk it up as that, because this guy and this shop are a lifesaver (hey maybe when your car broke down and you had to have it towed, YOU werent in the greatest of moods?). Take your car here and be assured you are in good hands!

My car had broken down and I had my car towed to the nearest garage. (This particular Chevron station)
From the onset the manager (Dave) was rude and unhelpful and was clearly annoyed that I should need service.
He ungraciously mentioned that he might be able to look at it in about an hour or so, but when I mentioned that I would be staying with the car,
he became agitated and told me to take my business elsewhere.
What a bizarre reaction. Clearly this place does not stand up to any scrutiny.
I followed his good (sic) advice and had my car towed elsewhere.
I will never go there again..
and he showed no interest to want to help - In fact he made no issue about telling me to take
my business elsewhere, when I metnioned that I would stay with the car
