I would like to say that I'm very pleased with the job they did. I had an old sofa that needed a make over and now it seems brand new. They were very helpful and quick with the service. Anybody needing an upholstery service should check Valdez in San Jose.
I had the unfortunate pleasure of doing business with this company. Here are some of the things that happened and people can make their own decisions.1. Asking people to move stuff for them when it is his job to do that.2. Giving you a two hour window and show up after the window. Do that twice. Excuse was the there was a lot of traffic from San Jose. I checked and there was no traffic jams on 101 or 280.3. BTW, his business will leave you a pretty stern message that you will be charged if you miss the time window. It does not apply to them. 4. Terry will come and argue with you in your house and make unpleasant comment. Hands down one of the worst "professional" I have worked with.5. Refuses to give you any paperwork and is too busy for you to verify if the issue has been resolved.6. Bad communication skills. Will not tell you what the next steps will be. He was so rude that I considered calling cops. Thankfully he left on his own. We got him through United Van Lines and they have promised that they will not use him for any of the future business. And so should any one else.
Ed is a joke. Avoid his services at all cost!He dragged me along for 3 months and never fixed my couch. Ashley furniture contracted them to repair my couch under warranty and it has been a horrible experience. My couch broke at the end of April and after it was turned over to the "local repair dealer" I wait two weeks to hear from him. After I described the problem he told me that he will order the parts. 6 weeks!! later the parts arrived at my door and it took another MONTH for Ed to get back to me to schedule an appointment. And by schedule he just gave me the ONLY date and time available. Wednesday between 11-4. I cannot wait around for months for some shop to play with my time. It's been three months since we contracted him and still nothing. His response when you call was basically "oh well". Avoid at all cost.
