My gf has been coming here for the last 9 years or so, which is how long we've been going out for, coincidence?I generally like REALLY cheap haircuts, meaning I go to my usual spot in Irving, a 20 mile drive for a $13 haircut. But the drive is now annoying as I'm aging and getting cranky. I've tried supercuts and greatclips. It's really my fault for going to places with "great" and "super" in their business name. It's like going to AAAAA cleaners. Pro tip: it's not gonna be AAAAA quality.I finally relented to my gf's suggestion to go to her place to get a cut. Seeing her lie through her teeth about how she "likes" my haircut through gritted teeth is heartbreaking.I drove down south about 30m to SJ, park, and walk to the studio. Hello random, drugged out bikers. I felt kinda weird going to a "uppity" hair salon. I was greeted warmly and was told the stylist will come grab me. The place was what I expected, dark, bustling with all black stylists, with lounge music echoing in the background. Smell was nice cuz it reminded me of vegas if that makes any sense.I was greeted by my stylist. She took me to the "rising star" chairs. $22 dollars vs $18 super or great cut. It couldn't be that bad. She consulted with me about what I wanted. She washed my hair on that crazy sliding chair. Felt like I was gonna row a boat somewhere, convenient? No.She started snipping and I gave her feed back when needed. She was pretty receptive and did what I requested. Bonus was that she had a wutang shirt. C.R.E.A.M! No, kids, it's not cookies rules everything around me. *sigh*.I was pretty happy with the cut. I'll most likely go back there. My gf was genuinely happy to see a proper cut . . . I think.
I bought a Groupon and scheduled my appointment with Tara. She isn't available every day, so make sure you try to schedule ahead of time. I had super long hair and one of the stylists suggested that I donate my hair, which they can do for you at the salon.I requested a dramatic A-line cut, and that's exactly what I got. Tara did an extremely good job. I would imagine it's hard to blend a dramatic slant well, and she did pretty well. She also layered the back hair on my crown shorter to give it some more volume. It was helpful that another stylist who happened to be waiting for his next client was sitting nearby watching, so Tara would ask him if he saw any fixes to be made.I'm extremely happy with my A line and I got a lot of compliments, even repeated compliments from the same people. I rarely like my hair after a cut, and I absolutely LOVE my new look and plan to keep it for a long time. I've heard good things about this place from friends, so I don't know why it took me so long to give it a try. But I definitely plan to come back!

Like others say, this is the best sandwiches you can get for $7 in the area. I ordered #5 Classic which comes with roasted beef, turkey, swiss cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato, and dijon mustard. I had "everything on it", which was an excellent call (The menu has been created for a reason! Why change it, right??) Besides, I don't like making additions and/or subtractions. It just makes the waiting time longer, doesn't it?Don't be fooled by their appearance. Each ingredients they serve here are of excellent quality. They bake their own bread, too. I might add and say that their bread is super! It's golden brown, crisp and just yummy. Food portion is pretty generous; I mean it served two (2) meals for me. One for lunch and the other half for my late night meal :-)
Love love love Tangerine!!!! It's such a hip and modern salon. You know the instant you walk in that your experience is going to be a wonderful one. You're greeted immediately by the front desk with a huge smile and welcomed. The stylists are very attentive and focused to make sure you are happy with the outcome of the look you are looking for. They will collaborate to help make things run smoother.I know I'm always happy with my hair. I walk out with the freshest new look and ALWAYS get complimented about hair. I highly recommend anyone to come try this place out. You will be changed forever!!!! I love my stylist, Cyndi!!! She's amazing and very knowledgeable about everything. She will take your concept and make it happen. Trust me when I say... SHE IS AMAZING!!!
I highly recommend coming here. The hair stylist listened to what I wanted and I got exactly that. The salon is super clean and everything looks new. I hate going into a salon and the place looks filthy, but not this salon. The bathroom is also extremely clean. This just tells you that the owner puts a lot of effort not only for services they provide, but for the care and cleanliness for the safety of their customers.Next time I come back in about 2 weeks I'll also try a pedicure since I saw several customers, including men, getting one.5 stars for each of the following:***** Haircut***** Staff***** Sanitation/Cleanliness
This was my first time there and I had Daniel cut my hair. I actually went in just for a consult but he made me feel comfortable enough to get it cut, then he squeezed me in right then instead of making me come back another time. I'm very paranoid about new people cutting my hair but he did a great job! I will definitely be going back. The atmosphere was great, it was very clean and the staff very friendly. It's going to be the awesome new place around the corner!
I saw the Grand Opening sign after driving by after work and decided to try this place out. I got a hair cut first then decided to dye my hair to hide the grey. They did an excellent job and the price is a lot less than other salons. The place is really nice and clean as other people have reviewed. I will definately come back; probably will bring my kids on the weekend. Also, there is a new Toy store in this plaza my kids would love to see.
Great service! Nice stylist. I have a super thick and strong black hair make it hard to manage. Great thing i got Candie helped me to cut with newest style, Japan straightening and high light with Red Violet color, i can't even recognize my self. The hair super nature and great style. Make me feel great and enjoy my life. I feel great and confident and will be back more offen. By the way, it's very nice salon. Love it! Thank you, Candie! :-)
Mayra did my makeup and hair for my pre-wedding photo session and I absolutely love it! She worked around my preferences and gave me the look I was looking for, a good balance between gentle and bold ! She is very sweet and patient, easy to talk to and super detailed. She could also be very creative, changing my hair and makeup styles based on different photo settings (princess-look, ladylike, or fun & cute). I would highly recommend her!!
