We were really upset when we came to take our birds back and saw one of our bird had a leg problem. We've had bird for many years and it NEVER exhibited any problems with her feet/legs. She was fine at the day when we brought her and spent about 30 min with her and put her in a cage before to leave. No symptoms while I was in the store. We called after 2 days and Marleen said both birds were fine. AND, then, when we arrived t and the first thing she sad is, "You did not tell me that your bird has a funny foot." A bit of an odd thing to say first breath. Why not mention same when we called to her? We find this all a bit suspicious to be frank. The fact that she claimed to have written a note on our paperwork, about bird's foot, on the arriving day does not mean much either. Lastly, it seems implausible that a bird just given a clean bill of health at the vet and a bird that never experienced any problems physically suddenly has a leg/foot problem the very day we drop her off at the store.??? Bird is fine now after her treatment for $600 during 6 weeks! We came earlier for several days to take our birds back and when we asked for our money back owner mentioned about deposit for future boarding..... Was she realized that birds never return to her place for the dangerous treatment? No apologies, no kindness! My suggestion if you decide to bring your birds there 1. fill out application only by yourself (she is doing it by the pencil which was easy to erase and change your bird condition) and2. take the copy an application ( she never give you a copy of your application).Good luck!
