A place for a celebration --- the level of service and the quality of food are exceptional. You certainly pay for both... you'll spend $$$$ but you won't feel bad about it. I've been told the fish is flown in fresh 3x a week from Japan, and the chefs are true masters by letting the ingredients shine. I've been to dozens of Omakase experience, this was the priciest, but also provide the best service and quality that I've enjoyed.
All the employees were flocked towards the back of the restaurant “chit-chatting,” few individuals are sitting down, paying great attention on their phones, while the rest of the customers are not being catered.Take note the food items were only served, teas and water and the child’s drink was not served. We had a difficult and disappointment experience dining at Hana Zen for numerous reasons: Cherry blossom did not have any aoijiso, kalware and ponzu garlic sauce-49ers roll did not have thin sliced of lemons and had seeds. Salmon teriyaki was burnt and was very oily, sautéed vegetables was very dry-Chicken teriyaki was very salty, cold and raw We cannot comprehend, even a 9 yr. old could not understand what he tried eating, for what the chef/cook did to the food they had served us. It seemed that a kid made our food which is a total joke for the price we were charged.Unacceptable and very poor quality of food
At first we are hesitant to eat because its seems like an ordinary restaurant but we are surprised that they serve the best steak! my experience matches with the saying "Dont judge the book by its cover"
So delicious! I love Herbivore and wish they'd have locations everywhere. I've eaten here loyally for nearly four years never ever getting tired of my favorites on the menu.
Ate here while working in SF today. It was very average. Nothing terrible or great. The pricing was reasonable.
This place was recommended by a local hotel. It was just ok to me and my daughter. I would not go here again. They did get busy so they must be popular like the hotel said.
I love Trader Vic's in Atlanta. It's campy, old school and untouched in 40+ years. I expected more of the same with the Tonga Room and it is just way over the top. The pool was cool with the bandstand in the middle. The rain and thunder was definitely campy if a bit underwhelming. We did visit for dinner which I won't be doing again. Service was great, food was barely average but prices we're crazy. Do yourself a favor and just come to visit that bar, enjoy the drinks and the show.
Wow! Great happy hour specials!
The friendly young male Japanese waiter is very cheerful and always makes this a wonderful dining experience!
I have been a client for at least 15 years! Consistent good food and service has not changed.
