I've been living here for 7 months and I believe it it's one of the best locations in SF. Three blocks from Trader Joe's, three blocks from the SF shopping mall on market street, close to the Mission district, etc.My room is facing Folsom st. which ends up having a lot of noise and polution all day and night. The place is cleaned every day and there are always bathrooms and showers available to use even though they are shared with everybody.I believe it is one of the most cost-effective places to live in in SF comparing location vs price. I recommend.
I moved into the Folsom St Residence about a month and a half ago, and it's been great. My room was affordable and has the basic things I need (mini-fridge, sink/mirror, bunk, desk). The kitchen downstairs has all the necessary pots/pans/utensils/etc. and theres a coin-operated washer and dryer available as well. Due to there being several bathrooms and showers on each floor, I hardly ever need to wait to use them. The people I've met have been social, friendly, and welcoming. Tenants at 1080 Folsom have a lot of respect for each other; None of my neighbors or "hall-mates" have been loud or obnoxious. The area is convenient (5 minute walk from the Civic Center Station and only a 10-15 minute walk to the Union Square shopping area) and there's some pretty great cafes and restaurants a block or 2 down the street. So far it's been an enjoyable experience!
For extremely low rent (by SF standards) I'm getting everything I need: a bed, some storage space for necessities, a small fridge, a large common kitchen and living room area, shared coin-operated washers/driers, shared bathrooms and showers, and even a bike rack. It's walking distance to BART, cool stuff nearby, I generally feel safe walking around (just stay away from 6th St), and my roommates/neighbors have never been a problem. All in all, I'd recommend it for people looking for a short-term, inexpensive housing option in SF.
I've been staying at 1080 Folsom for 4 months and it has been great. The room is quiet, cleaners come in everyday to clean the common areas, and there is always a good group hanging out in the community room. It is cheap for SF standards and it is near a Trader Joe's and Target. Some cool bars are right down the street and the financial district is close as well. Great place!
Yeah it's fine. The people are pretty cool, and the rooms look like advertised (I mean it's SF, of course they're going to be small-ish). It's a really nice location, just three blocks from Market Street. It's also pretty clean; they have a maid come through every morning and clean the bathrooms. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes people use all the hot water in the morning so when you take a shower it's kind of luke warm. It's a pretty good place to stay for a few months while you get a feel for town.
This company is amazing. Finding housing in SF is super difficult, especially if you are on a tight post-grad budget like me. The people who work here are extremely helpful, sweet, kinda, and seem like they really care about making sure you find a place that is the right fit for you. They were quick to respond, despite my millions of questions in millions of emails haha. The building I ended up in (1080 Folsom) is super affordable, clean, beautiful, and in a fantastic location! The people I live with are so fun and easy to be around. They have a great common area, so it is a super social environment, and has become a community for me in this originally unfamiliar city! Highly recommend finding your residence through this company, I can't recommend it enough.
I've been here for over 6 months now, and I have to say I'm very satisfied. The two deciding factors for me when it comes to housing are affordability and cleanliness. This place has both. The rent is very reasonable, which is great for recent graduates like me who are also trying to pay off student loans. And the place is notably clean. A cleaning service comes every day to maintain the common areas (e.g. bathrooms and showers). The community of people itself is also very friendly. Most are young professionals trying to make it big in the city, and some are still in school. The RAs are great and helpful, and my experience with management so far has been very positive. I've recommended this place to my friends, and if you're looking for no-frills but clean and affordable housing in the city, I'd highly recommend it to you as well.
Super chill group of residents. I signed my lease for this place without first seeing the rooms but I was very pleased with the place on arrival. The bathrooms are cleaned daily and well maintained. Very spacious and nice kitchen and living area. The RAs are all super welcoming and helpful - always around or a quick text message away. I highly recommend this place for students and others who are looking for a nice budget place to live. It is conveniently located in the heart of SoMa with easy access to the muni, bart, shops, and you name it.
I first found 1080 Folsom on Craigslist in January and thought it sounded like a fun place to land while I got my feet on the ground in SF. I moved in with the intention of only staying a couple of weeks and myself there today, 5 months later, wondering if I'll ever feel the urge to move on. 1080 Folsom is community living at its finest. Having just moved to SF, I found myself immediately submerged in a community that thrives on rich social interaction, good vibes, and lots to do. Never a dull or lonely moment, I recommend the place to anyone who wants to hit the ground running in SF, meet new people, share meals, share yoga, share love, laughs and leisure...
I have been staying in 1080 Folsom Residency for almost two years now and I have only good words to say about my stay here. I am planning to stay here till I leave back to my country next summer. It is very convenient and close to my work and downtown SF. The community is very friendly and I have met people from all around the world. The management is very helpful and very fast responsive with issues that incurred to me.
