For the money you can't go wrong. Our room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. One of the front desk people was Rocky. I can't say enough about Rocky. I was booted off the Internet and could not reconnect. Rocky spent quite a bit of time with me trying to figure out what was wrong. He finally found out the problem (which was my fault). He fixed the problem and all was well. Our further experiences with Rocky was great. Always smiling, and can answer any questions about the City. Rocky is an asset to the hotel, and should get a raise!!!!

Dirty, old!!! Just plain sucks. Don't stay at all cost. No matter if they pay you , it is still a ripoff
Chelsea Motor Inn is in a great location of San Francisco. You can walk to the Marina and Union Street areas as well as to the SF Bay. Close to fantastic bars and restaurants. Reasonable rooms rates in a city with high prices. Clean and spacious rooms. Great find for the frugal traveler.
This motel has shared shower rooms, smells horrific, has rodents, and is extremely unsanitary. The hotel has people who are loud when you try to sleep and gossip all around your ears 24.7. The hotel needs to be evaluated by the FDA as it needs excessive TLC and is in a sour condition that I am afraid is unfixable upon it's current decaying condition. The staffing is terribly incoherent and seems to be aloof of any hazards that may present themselves. I believe this is the worst motel that I have ever endured in my life.
Horrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The customer service is below par, the quality of the rooms are about as equivalent to a Motel 6, the price of the rooms are ridiculous, and the management team is a joke. I'm very disappointed.
Rooms are clean, free parking, beds are comfortable, a couple of restaurants within walking distance, zoo across the st, ypu can walk to the beach. Great price and staff is very friendly.
this place is run buy scum lords and the insides smell like trash and are in horrid shape,if you want bedbugs and riff raff for neighbors and the smell of trash i suggest you try here...it is to bad they dont have a minus rating i hated to give them even one star
I forgot my expensive ring in the hotel room, when I called back to the hotel, they said going to call me back, so I am calling myself today and the guy just telling me that I am lying!!! That his housekeepers never took anything, and they can not find it!! Bull... I know I left on the table... Dishonest housekeepers and Unresponsible owners!!!! Shame on you to blame me of lying !!!
We were suppose to have an oversized or larger than standard room. It was the same size as any regular hotel room, even smaller than some Comfort Inns I have stayed in. The only reason we stayed there instead of another hotel was that parking was only $26 per day compared to 50 or 60 but there was only 2 spots in the whole garage we felt we could park in without worrying we would hit a support post and we had a smaller car. We could walk to Fisherman's Wharf. And they had a pretty good variety for breakfast. Next time, would pay the extra for parking.
