Coach of the year

I am writing this testimonial because I wanted people to realize how great it is to find an executive coach that knows how to get the results you're looking for. Nick has been really great to know! He has helped me with my massage business to increase my referrals and I know that he has also helped a couple of friends of mine to get great new jobs. He is patient, listens well, and is full of knowledge because of his years of experience and training. I feel confident Nick can help you grow your business, get that promotion or new job.

Great coach!

Nick helped me grow my business to three offices. He helped me launch the business, figure out my business plan, competitive differentiation and marketing. Over the years he has helped me develop my leadership skills and long term career planning. I am very satisfied with both my life and career and Nick was a great coach.

Did not quite fulfill my needs

The reason for my mediocre rating is not because I believe Nick's services are mediocre, but because I did not find it to be a good fit for me.

I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and was looking for launch my career with whatever I could get my hands with. I do not have too much work experience so my resume's not too flashy. I met with Nick and he spent about an hour on my resume. It seemed like there wasn't too much for him to work with and he was trying to turn (feces) into gold.

I appreciate the effort, but at the rate of $150/hour, I feel like I really didn't get enough out of the session. He offered me great tips on where to look for jobs but unfortunately I find most of that not relevant to me, probably because of my degree. I feel better about my resume now but unfortunately I feel his services were not a good fit for me - as someone with little experience. I think he's more suitable for people that are in finance, management or business related fields. I'd suggest give him a try if you're desperate.

Inspiration and Insight

Career transitions often feel lonely and terrifying because you're going through giant changes when the rest of the world seems to just spin in place I'm no exception, and was looking for feedback on my career transition process. I hoped Nick could provide a seasoned perspective and help pinpoint my personal and professional strengths. When life gets confusing, wisdom and clarity are priceless.

An hour and a half with Nick was time well spent and we covered a lot of ground. Nick helped me inventory my personal and career skills gained over the last 20 years. At the same time he was patient, and in fact, encouraged me to reflect carefully on the achievements I feel most proud of. This was not a ""fill in the blanks"" kind of workshop, it was very interactive. Nick is bright, experienced, and thorough. He even identified some areas of mastery and focus that I had simply taken for granted. True to my expectations, Nick gave insightful and direct feedback, as well as generating some new ideas that I am currently pursuing with great success.

I will be coming back to Nick in 6 months for a check-up. He's a top-notch coach. Here is how I describe Nick to the friends I've recommend him to: very professional and dedicated to my success; excellent listener, high emotional intelligence; broad and deep business experience; great sense of humor, but is no nonsense; Nick calls it like it is. In my book, EQ, IQ, and experience add up to wisdom. I feel more confident knowing Nick is in my corner. Will continue to recommend him!

An Hour with Nick Parham, and I Beat Out the Competition

Upon invitation to interview for an exciting and challenging new position, I contacted Nick Parham for Interview Coaching. A colleague had worked with him to prepare for a round of difficult interviews preceding a large promotion and reported amazing (and successful) results. My interview was for the most exciting position I?ve ever had, and I felt confident that working with Nick would increase my chances of getting the job.

Nick?s ability to pinpoint my strengths and teach me how to assert them was eye-opening. His interview coaching gave me the confidence to sell my attributes, speak definitely about my successes, and show the company how I was the best person for the job.
Throughout the interview I was confident, free from anxiety, and prepared for every challenging question they had. I was so impressed by what Nick?s coaching brought out in me, and my interviewers were as well. A week later, I was offered the job. I know it is because of the work I did with Nick.

For every career and business related opportunity in my future, Nick is the person with whom I?ll consult. His years of expertise make him a standout in the industry, and he shares that expertise with all of his clients in a way that is easy to understand and manageable to incorporate. He helps them create a strategic plan for execution and gives his clients the confidence to pursue their objectives with determination.

Understands Hiring Practices of Today's F500 Firms for Executive Positions

The first hour I spent with Nick completely changed my perspective on what it takes to get hired at the executive level by today's leading global firms. We discussed resumes, how global companies screen applicants at the executive level, positioning, and a host of other topics. I realized, through informative consultations with Nick, that in the last 10 years everything has changed in terms of what it takes to get noticed and to land in the pool of finalists for top rated positions. Nick is a firm believer in having skilled applicants take control of the job search process, not only in terms of how they apply for jobs, but where they apply. He empowers you to research firms you would like to work for and then helps you make those aspirations a reality. I can't say enough about his talents. I have recommended Nick to other senior executives and will continue to do so moving forward.

Nick Parham helped me to develop a resume that got results.

The resume that Nick Parham developed for me sparked the interest of hiring managers and got great results. I had a call for an interview in less than 24 hours after I applied for my first job using the resume that Nick prepared for me. I also wanted a person that would be available to answer questions and coach me through challenging situations. Nick was always available to assist me and gave me a lot of valuable advice.

Nick is a very talented and knowledgeable, and I was well prepared after meeting with him. He explains the services that he offers and let's you decide on what you want. I highly recommend Nick Parham.

Comprehensive and practical career services

Nick Parham was tremendously helpful when I was looking to get back into technology sales after 4 years in another industry. He guided me through a series of questions designed to uncover my most notable career achievements, my strengths and weaknesses, and the ""soft skills"" that employers need, but many resumes and job seekers neglect to mention. He recommends a skills-based resume format which is a refreshing alternative to the old-school boring chronological timeline. Based on his coaching, I quickly lined up a series of interviews, which turned into two very exciting job offers.

Nick Parham helped me change careers

My employer was downsizing. After 25 years working as a successful sales and marketing executive in the entertainment industry I was forced to find a new career. Nick and I investigated a number of opportunities and industries until I found the right fit. He helped me create a great resume , do networking, and create cover letters and search for jobs. He helped me keep motivated and on the right track.

I took a new career with the nation's fourth largest financial services firm and I am now going for a promotion after little more than a year on the job. Nick's helped me get there,

Nick understands the Bay Area job market and offers practical advice and a good process. He also provided sound advice to my daughter who was fresh out of college and looking for work. I would reccommend his services to anyone. NC Man

Soup to nuts career coaching

I found Nick?s process very thorough and effective. With Nick?s help I overcame my confusion about the type of work I wanted, I identified companies for me to investigate, I set up the search process and started networking. I revised my resume using his template, which gave it more impact. We did some videotaped interview training to sharpen my skills. I?m now in the final rounds of interviews. Nick is professional, he?s kept me honest along the way. He?s a great coach!
