I try to be calm when I talk about SenSpa. It was an amazing spa experience!! I was given a gift card by a friend for my birthday and chose the SenSpa Muscle Refresher, I was so impressed I booked another for myself in two weeks!! This spa is beautiful, the staff friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their service and products. I would HIGHLY recommend their service to anyone!!!

I was referred to SenSpa by 2 friends for their discreet, professional brazilian wax. My first experience (not at SenSpa)was to say the least excruciating!! So much so that I never wanted to get another one, but my friends urged me to give it one more go and try Senspa. So I made an appt. to see Mary. She was outstanding! She made me feel so comfortable about a service that can be somewhat embarrassing and sometimes painful. What I didn't know was that the wax that is used has a lot to do with pain, redness and soreness in general. SenSpa uses hard wax. Mary is an expert and does a thorough and professional job.
I have also tried other services and have been very pleased.
I have NEVER had any problems with rude staff, in fact everyone is always very pleasant and never push any products on you. Its a 45 min drive for me and there have been several times that I have been a few minutes late, by calling to let them know they have always been very accomodating. I have never been turned away for being late.
I love this place!

I just moved here from NYC where I had who I thought was the best esthetician ever...well, ""the eagle has landed!!!"" and I have just found THE BEST, MOST AMAZING facials ever. The first time I went I had a facial with Camille. She is articulate and knowledgeable and knows how to massage my sad, withered face back into tip-top shape. She recommended a slew of supplements, which I am now happily taking (because I FEEL and SEE results!!!) and some excellent products (women, if you haven't used SkinCeuticals you must). The next time I went I couldn't get in with Camille so I went to Grace. Well, I have to say, JUST AS GREAT. Soft spoken but intelligent and sweet, what more could you want? She buffed my aging skin to that of a kindergartener. Excellent. I almost feel like trying everyone at SenSpa but I think for now I'll stick with these two. Try the Freestyle Facial. I had it both times and it was so thorough yet completely different both times-it's really cool and long!!!

One of the worst experiences I have had at a spa. The front desk was RUDE beyond anything I have experienced. It was as if I was doing them a favor. The facial was so disappointing. It felt like the esthetician was just going through the motions. She did not give me a good explanation of the treatment, did not do thorough cleansing and when I went to check out and saw the bill I was floored. Sen Spa is so overpriced it is ridiculous. The military barracks should have been left for the military. I will never go back.. Do not be fooled by any of the hype.

I love this place. It's chic. The services are top notch. And the staff is really focused on delivering great service. I felt like I was at a five-star resort. Just as important, the super hydrating facial that I got was one of the best I've ever had. My skin was glowing for weeks. I'm a spa goer, have been to other day spas in town and nothing comes close.

Been there 10-12 times. Good customer--referred friends, tipped, bought products.
Was 10 min late on a rainy day--rudely turned away, they kept ARGUING that it was way too tightly scheduled but that they wouldn't have time to get ready for a new customer. I sure didn't see that they cared one iota about this reapeat customer.
Yes, I was 10 min late.Funny, the afternoon of the day before when I made my appt. they asked if I wanted more treatments. I also have waited 10 min or more for previous appts. They sure didn't mention up front that they had a 3o min. window. I offered to forgo one of my treatments, not change, etc.
It was stressful and not fun.
Who needs it? Go to 77 Maiden Lane.

Awesome massages - I think these guys are the ""Stressbusters"" !!
I have been several times now, saw a different person each time, EVERY massage was wonderful. The therapists are skilled, caring, friendly, and can answer questions about your body. I have been getting massages for years and have very high standards. I think they are so great because they are multi talented, some have medical or athletic training backgrounds and YEARS of experience so you get a true therapeutic massage. You can tell that they love what they do. This is my new favorite place. I love that you can add Aromatherapy to your massage for no extra cost and the oils are organic, the pink grapefruit is my favorite. Sen Spa is gorgeous and large, and what is unusual for a day spa in this city, is there are actually places bigger than a closet to relax in while enjoying yummy organic snacks. It amazes me that they have filtered water throughout, I think this means they have the healthiest steam rooms in the city. They have a great choice of massages and even offer some techniques not listed on the menu like cranio sacral, myofacial, even lymph drainage ( you just have to ask the front desk staff ) when booking your appointment. I cant wait to go back and get the steamy herbal pack Thai massage witj lemongrass ginger foot ritual, or the Japanese body ritual, or maybe the Island treatment with the hawaiian massage where they use this oil that smells just like a fresh flower lei ! I think that soon I will have to try a wellness coaching session to get in better shape or try some Tibetan healing and an Ayurvedic facial.

Okay, to be fair, I didn't actually go to the spa, but I wanted to. The receptionist I spoke with was snotty. I am arranging a small party for a good friend and three others so inquired about reservations for five people -- completely flexible on the mix of services we received. She said they ""don't do group reservations on weekends because they cannot fit in their regular clients."" I said we were a small group willing to spread our services over 3 hours, and she said, ""I'm sorry, now that I know you're a group, I cannot make five reservations for you. You'll have to call back separately."" It would have been palatable if she hadn't been so snotty in delivering this message. I then asked for my own personal manicure, and she said (snotty again) ""We don't do pedicures and manicures."" Overall, a pretty bad first impression. I don't think I'll go there or recommend it. We'll give our business elsewhere.

Run to SenSpa for the facial they do with the hydrating tip thingee. I think it's called the Super Hydrating Facial. i've never had anything like it in my life. I mean it. Your skin will look better than it has ever looked. I'm not kidding. My mother even told me so.

Recently, I had a wonderful massage at SenSpa. The practitioner was professional and helpful. She educated me about stress relief during the first part of the massage, but then stopped talking and just let me relax. The snacks are organic. The showers are incredible. The environment is peaceful. This is on my list of places to visit again soon. I left there feeling like I'd been totally renewed, and carrying tools to stave off the stresses of life on a daily basis.

my expierience was less that averege. My massage was amature and okward...I wanted to jump up and leave. parts of it even hurt. I know this place is new, but there are plenty of more professional choices if you want a truely legit massage. When I brought up my issue to a ""manager"" she dismissed my issues and acted like I was a nobody. I don't even think the so-called manager was who she said she really stated.

I have tried so many spas in SF and the East Bay during my past year of living here--SenSpa is the most recent I have tried--and the best! Great customer service, great treatments, and very beautiful setting. This place is how I would make a spa! PERFECT!

SenSpa is a wonderful addition to The City! Located in the Presidio, you would never know what exactly to expect on your first visit. I was certainly pleasantly surprised. Recently, I spent an afternoon of treatment there and was impressed with SenSpa's design, but especially their attentive service. I've sent several dear friends over and we all agree, we'll keep going back!

For my 16th birthday I was treated to a hydrating facial (performed by Camille). I entered the spa with very high expectations ( seeing how I had several family members ranting and raving) all of which were met. Senspa is home to an amazing and friendly staff, a clean, warm atmosphere, and let me tell you, those sheets are AMAZING. To the creative genius that went into the creation of this spa(cough...RANDY SCHRECK...) :
I applaud you.
My partner and I went to Senspa for the first time and were both blown away. I had seen their ads in various magazines, so had an idea of what the place would look like, but the pictures don't do them justice. They did an amazing job on the decor....kind of a Zen meets DWR. The staff were all extremely friendly and went out of their way to make you feel very comfortable. We had 3 treatments each (detox foot soak, super hydrating facial and a massage)...we both were extremely happy with each treatment and would highly recommend the splurge and spending a good part of your Saturday at Senspa. The facilities are great...locker rooms/showers ext...all very nice and the warming room was perfect for relaxing in between treatments. We've had a few friends go as well and everyone has come back with rave reviews. The location in the Presidio really makes it a special experience, easy parking and overall one of the best spas I've been to in SF. It's always nice to check out a new place, but I think it would be really hard to not go back to Senspa for my next massage. You guys are doing a great job.....congrats.
Senspa is the urban oasis that San Francisco has always lacked! I had two treatments there and was in heaven...from the gorgeous and zen decor to the absolute professionalism of the staff to treatments that are sublime! I highly recommend Senspa to anyone who wants to treat themselves to something very special.
This is by far the best spa in SF. I am even doing their Senpath and I feel a change in my life and body. Master Wang (body health), Venetia (aromtherapist master and great massages), Sanja (loving wellness coach), and Leah (best facials and brazilians!!) are wonderful. I highly recommend this place to anyone- the casual spa goer, the luxurious prima donna, the person that needs a life change. The tea is yummy, steam room is brand new and not mildewed like most spas. I miss the raw vegan banana leaf treats, but they serve dried fruit snacks and dark chocolate. Great products for you face and body. They really care!
SenSpa transforms a hard day into a day of relaxation. Even if you go for an individual treatment there are plenty of choices. The services I received were provided in a professional manner by enthusiastic and competent astheticians. The massage was one of the best I've had. I would recommend SenSpa and it's wonderful location for a treatment or for a day awat from the hectic world. Their attention to detail and customer service is some of the best I've experienced. Next time I will try the Cool as Cucumber facial. It looked great and my friend had it and said it was wonderful.
Absolutely love it. I work at Gucci and have referred many top clients to Senspa and every single one of them has been beyond impressed with the beautiful space (so many plants!) and truly innovative services. The ultra-hydrating facial is what impresses me most: so wonderful to have a machine that really gets in there and injects serums and scrubs and exfoliates and polishes and finally pulls out those blackheads so efficiently! My face has NEVER LOOKED SO DAMN PRETTY. Definitely worth the hike to the Presidio. Did I mention that they have a tea lounge AND a ""warming room""??? And SNACKS! So many wonderful details...
Really, really great. A haul to get to (the Presidio), but once you get there, the surrounding is beautiful, the parking plentiful (and free), and the inside will blo* you away. The attention to detail really puts you in a different world. It isn't a Gym (no pool or group hot tub) and it isn't a chain (with overstuffed sofas in some cattle call seating area), and it isn't some overcrowded compact boutique where the waiting area is also a hallway and a product display area. I could wait all day in their waiting area (can I bring my lbvaptop next time?? hmmm.).
Locker rooms: first-rate. Showers: first-rate. People, products, services: first rate. There is no part of the decor (right down to the bathroom fixtures) that will remind you of sometimething coming out of the generic office tower parts bin. Negatives? Hmmm. I suppose everyone would love lower prices for all Spas, but my priorities are elsewhere.
It feels great...and that is what a spa experience is for me, whatever the price.
