This is one of my favorite treats when I am in San Francisco! The latte is my absolute top choice! The designs they make in the foam just put a smile on your face!

Ferry Building Farmer's Market & Chef Demos

No food lover’s visit to San Francisco would be complete without a visit to the iconic Ferry Building and Saturday Farmer's Market. We love the free classes led by top chefs every Saturday at 10.45am.

Fancy Coffee Envy

I'm all about regular coffee, but when I saw the pretty drinks my friends got I had major coffee envy! I came here after lunch at Pier 23 which included a few midday beers = nap time! I had a few hours left at work so went straight to Blue Bottle to get my caffeine on. Their regular coffee is delish! But next time I want to get one of their fancy drinks!

The best food in the city!

The farmers market at the Ferry building is the best farmers market I have ever been to...all local organic and sustainable products..great vendors in the ferry building..the Golden Gate Meat Company is the best..they are the distributor to the fine dining restuarants in San Francisco..all thier products are hormone-antibiotic free, local and free range..and the staff at their shop in the ferry building are so helpful with tips that make their product come out perfect!

My favorite attraction in the city

Saturday morning farmer's market is my favorite thing to do in the city. Our out-of-town visitors love it and we love lazily strolling around tasting the bounty of our land. (Make sure you try Roli Roti meats!) I also go to the ferry bldg weekdays to have a lovely lunch, that is as slow or fast as I make it. I always cap off the meal with chocolates from Recchiuti.

Great Place to Hang Out

It's become a Sunday pastime for me and my husband to walk to the Ferry Bldg and get a bottle of wine, cheese from Cowgirl creamery and ACME Bread!! It's the perfect way to end the weekend!!
Beautiful views, clean area, and great place to take out-of-towners!

Fun times!

I love walking around the Embarcadero and then coming here to enjoy the delicious food, drink and wonderful produce in this place!

If it was a bit cheaper, I would definitely give this place a full ""10"". Even so, it's a great place to bring out-of-town guests or to enjoy a Saturday morning date. Going on sunny days can be a bit warm, but partly cloudy days are just perfect.

And here's another tip (specifically about the farmer's market on Saturdays) - Even though, I'm sure the food is probably fine there, I've experienced terrible customer service at the Prather Ranch farmer's market booth several times and would definitely not recommend going there. There are a lot of other more friendly (and more delicious?) places to order and enjoy tasty food!

If you want good food but, bad service, go here!

The food was very fresh and tasty - although not a huge menu of items. Unfortunately, the service was bad.

When the waitress finally got around to us, we were not brought any water or asked if we wanted to start off with a drink. She simply said, ""What can I get for you."" No hello. She didn't even introduce herself! These are the basic fundamentals of being a good waitress and just good common sense!

In addition to flagging her down for initial service, we subsequently had to ask for a few items that we ordered but, were never brought to us.

We did leave a tip but, not a very good one considering we typically leave 20 - 25% for someone who really worked for it -- and deserved it!

Unique seafood dishes for lunch

There aren't very many places where you can order softshell crab sandwiches or oyster loaf for lunch. The seafood is fresh and delicious. Combine that with a premier location with outstanding views and you can't go wrong.
