In 1993, fresh out of college, Dr. Marshall Luck begun working with a chiropractic team in a well-established office. Although the job was exactly what he thought he wanted, his experience didn't live up to the hype: Short appointments and quick turnaround with patients, profits over people, pushy tactics, and less focus on real in-depth patient care. So he took matters into his own hands. In 1995, he opened the doors to Rincon Chiropractic. Founded on the ideals that patient care begins and ends with people. That taking the time to understand them is essential to providing the best possible healing experience. That healing comes from seeing the big picture, and that real change doesn't happen in a single moment. It takes time and effort. After an initial examination, we assess the intricacies of your specific condition and correlate them with your health history. Our goal is to provide you with long-term solutions, as well as relief in the here-and-now. The doctors have many tools and techniques at their disposal for providing patient care, and have worked with many patients who had never experienced chiropractic care. They will explain the procedures to ensure you are comfortable with your treatment. Afterward, we provide you with a personalized diagnosis and treatment plan that will be explained to you in a way that is easy to understand. We will help work with your schedule to ensure that your treatment stays on track. When needed, advanced imaging techniques, including X-ray and MRI are utilized, but we find those are mostly needed in the most extreme situations.

Corrective spinal care!

I go see Dr. Luck and Dr. Schuler (acupuncturist) at Rincon Chiropractic, Massage & Acupuncture.
I can't say enough good things about them.
I have a congenital spinal anomaly that became a major problem a couple of years ago. I went to see Dr Luck, because I heard that he started practicing Pettibon technique. Pettibon is a rehab corrective spinal technique that corrects both hard and soft tissues. I've been doing it for 6 months now under Dr. Luck's guidance and the results are phenomenal. The lateral spinal curve has almost straightened and I got my curves in the neck and low back corrected. The pain is pretty much the thing of the past. And, besides being so talented in chiro, Dr. Luck is just such a nice guy!
Dr. Schuler is also amazing. Talented acupuncturist who complements almost all of my acupuncture sessions with a half hour amazing healing massage. Acupuncture and massage in one appointment - you can't beat that!

Not a happy experience

This is a true account of my experience with this provider. We all have the right to express our opinions and this is mine.

I am actually shocked at how this business is run. I set up an appointment initially because it was close to my office and they were a Metagenics provider. On my very first visit I waited 45 minutes before even seeing Dr. Luck! I had told the receptionist when I arrived that I had a massage appointment at 6:15 sharp in the Marina. I had a 4:40 appointment here with Dr. Luck. She never approached me, 2 feet in front of her desk, to tell me he was running late. Then when I approached her as the clock was ticking by she put me in a room behind a curtain. I could hear the entire conversation that the doctor was having with the other patient before me! The rooms have no doors just curtains! He did not get around to seeing me until about 5:20! I came out twice and told the receptionist I was going to be late for my massage. I was inches to just leaving when he came in finally. I told him I was upset at the lack of professionalism in the office. I was early and prepared with what I needed to go over with him. I had barely enough time to ask the questions about the supplements. He adjusted me a couple of times and I was out the door. He asked me to give him another chance and to come back.

Meanwhile he bills my insurance $203.76! He billed for supplies and materials and he never used anything on me! What is the $12.00 for??? I asked him how much for a bottle of roll on Biofreeze. I was willing to pay for it even after all of the frustration. He says to go ahead and take it as a gift for all the hassle I went through. He then bills my insurance company for it and it turns out they don't even cover it anyway. This just inflates the bill and for no reason. I spoke to my insurance about this and they are not happy and said it is not their job to control his inventory on supplies.

Then he bills for Physical Therapy $58.80. What Physical Therapy? He snapped me a couple of times! I never used the exercise ball or anything at all! I have had P.T. before and believe me there was no P.T. done!! Then the office visit for $75.00. We barely spoke because I had to leave to get to my massage! Then he billed for the adjustment on top of all the rest!

I am sorry but this does not fly with me. I am in the insurance business and this is wrong! I spoke tyo Blue Cross and they are filing a grievance on my behalf and they also encouraged me to file with the Department of Insurance. I feel this is excessive billing and I feel that I believe that these services were not performed considering the rush job I went through.

Then like a fool I give him another chance and I go back and again he is running late. I asked the receptionist to see my x-rays and she took me in to the ""x-ray room"" and told me they can't leave that room. She knew they were ""my"" x-rays. So now, she is holding my x-rays hostage. I have a right to my films! I was just going to leave and in comes Dr. Luck. I just told him I had enough and deserved better treatment. I come there in pain and this is what I get..not once but twice!!

He truly needs a person at the front desk that knows the business and is a professional with experience. I have run several practices in my time and I know how it is supposed to work. The front desk is the first person you come in contact with and it can either make you or break you.

Dr. Luck changed my life

For years I suffered from neck pain, and headaches. I chalked it up to stress. I have seen a handful of other Chiropractors, and although some offered me releif, Dr. Luck is the only one who ever made a long term difference. Getting the pain to go away was easy for him. His treatment made me feel better immediately. After several visits, he taught me how to keep the pain from returning. A few ergonomic tips, and some basic stretching techniques, and I am pain free today. I also referred a frined to Dr. luck who has suffered from Carpal Tunnel for years. My friend recently told me that she is feeling so much better.
Thanks Dr. luck. I really appreciate how you have impacted my life.

I was blessed to experience chiropractic care with Dr. Luck versus anyone else. Heads And Tails Above The Rest

I have been to MANY chiropractors and Dr. Luck is by far at the top of the list. Its like the rest of the chiropractors forget half of what they learned in school within a year and Dr. Luck uses it all from knowledge to technique. He doesn't just slap you on the table, do the same quick adjustment and get you out like so many others do. He takes his time, checks out all my individual vertebrae each time I go, rubs the knots out of the muscles and on top it is a great adjuster. I never wait more than a few minutes because they schedule well and the staff is great.

dr. marshall has a gentle touch and a holistic view of the body. he's not like some other chiropractors who put you on the electrostimulators and leave you for 20 minutes. he really cares about his patients and it shows.
