Beware of Squaretrade's "change the fine print to avoid a claim" policy. I have had days of frustrating customer non-service trying to get them to honor an obviously legitimate claim.



I bought an iphone warranty because, according to its website, "Squaretrade covers you from drops, spills, water damage and other accidents." Well...



My son got pushed into a pool. Phone was in his pocket.

Complete accident.

Bad spill.

Water damage.



Case closed, right?

Apparently not. Squaretrade has a "got pushed" clause or something. Because, according to them, they surely would have covered it had he poured coffee over it, dropped it in the toilet, fallen into a water puddle or tripped into the pool (right...), but "got pushed"? Apparently that's not an "accident".



Long story short: BUYER BEWARE.



Save yourself the $84 they charged me for a non-insurance policy.
