Dianda's Italian American Pastry

Growing up in San Francisco meant that my birthday cakes always came from Dianda's. I recalled their cakes tasted so unbelievably delicious back in the 1970s. In 2008, I took my oldest daughter to San Francisco to celebrate her 16th birthday. We strolled into Dianda's, and it was as if nothing had changed in 30 years. Their pastries were the only boyhood food I ate that tasted as good as I recalled. Pizzaries I frequented lost their edge. Mexican restaurants weren't the same any longer. Dianda's has stood the test of time. I returned again in 2016 with my father and brother. Once again, their pastries did not disappoint. I don't know how they do it, but they have stood the test of time in a part of San Francisco that has largely fallen into disarray.

One thing I've noticed about this bakery is that they are good at assisting customers on what bread they should buy. Really great marketing strategies.

What I love the most about this bakery shop is the level of customer service they give to every customer, regardless of whether you buy just a few or in bulk. Really appreciate that.
