For the money you can't go wrong. Our room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. One of the front desk people was Rocky. I can't say enough about Rocky. I was booted off the Internet and could not reconnect. Rocky spent quite a bit of time with me trying to figure out what was wrong. He finally found out the problem (which was my fault). He fixed the problem and all was well. Our further experiences with Rocky was great. Always smiling, and can answer any questions about the City. Rocky is an asset to the hotel, and should get a raise!!!!

This was a diamond in the rough. It is clean, located in a nice central area and remarkably inexpensive for San Francisco.
Dirty, old!!! Just plain sucks. Don't stay at all cost. No matter if they pay you , it is still a ripoff
Great location with two queen beds instead of the more normal double beds in the Union Square area. Really close to theatres.
Such a great location in the city! Walking distance to Union Square. Parking can be pricey at the hotel but there are plenty of other lots that are much cheaper!
I would definitely stay here again. Normally we stay at one of the hotels down by Pier 39, but this time we wanted something different (i.e. nicer but less expensive) & chose Kabuki based on a recommendation from a friend.1) Room rate was awesome -- $89 a night for a King Standard.2) Easy & cheap on-site parking. DON'T use their Valet, use the public parking that is right below the hotel & has an elevator up to the hotel lobby.3) Room furniture was modern, though the writing desk was placed at the foot of the bed, so when sitting there to use the computer (Free wi-fi!) the other person couldn't get from one side of the room to the other.4) Sink/Vanity area of the bathroom 5 Stars.....shower was WEIRD, but perhaps that is the style in Japan? It lacked a curtain & the door to the shower room was glass. Also, we felt that had it been 2 friends or a family with older kids staying the bathroom would have been uncomfortable as there would be no privacy for the shower if someone wanted to use the sink area. Sliding Bamboo doors were cool though!Overall I would definitely stay here again!
Overall, we were pretty satisfied with this hotel. Our room faced the bus depot and we could hear the beeping of the buses as they were backing up well into the night and early in the morning. I would definitely ask for a room on the opposite side of that to avoid all the noise. The service was good. We had several problems with our key card until they sent an employee up to investigate and found that we were just not pushing hard enough. What, I didn't know you were supposed to jam the key as hard as you could every time you wanted to go into the room?! That's never happened to me before. The location is great, close to everything!
Great hotel right across from Fisherman's Wharf. The valet is your first experience with the excellence of service at this hotel. Front desk has a treasure chest of goodies the kids can choose from daily. Great wine mixers in the evenings. Love this hotel.
No acknowledgement that I've stayed here before and no toilet paper in the hotel room upon checkin. Wow.
Nice little boutique hotel in San Francisco. We needed to stay an extra day and they accommodated us at the same rate we booked. Small but clean rooms.
