There was not enough clearance room for the servers to get by. I had one girl knock my Fedora off my chair and apologized. The next two servers, serving the people behind me pressed-smashed (not grazed) my Fedora. Three servers butts smashed my Fedora making contact for more than 7 seconds a piece. Every time a server wanted to walk by I had to move my chair. To give you an idea of size of the table they seated us at. W/plates on the table there was not enough room for my Iphone on the table. One servers tray grazed the top of my fiances' head while we were still seated. I felt like I was eating in a small box. With people and tables as the walls. My fiance had worked at P F changs in Temecula,so I know their business model-food. They have 6 super small tables with not enough room for the servers to get by. The manager claimed it was because there were two of us. Yet I pointed out 3 different sets of twos sitting at enormous booths that had enough room to seat 6 comfortably. They were all wearing designer clothes and had designer purses. The tables are not even big enough for the food never mind a hat. The server was frustrated and even agreed that he doesn't like serving those small tables. The tables they sat us at were designed to be add ons for big parties table. The managers name is Jennifer. She did a poor job at resolving the issue. It was very plain to see the hostesses were showing favorites when it came to seating people in certain sections. In my opinion, people they suspect don't have money or aren't big tippers get seated in terrible locations. (small tables) The manager Jennifer was really interested in my input on floor layout and better suggestions. More so than offering to compensate me for the inconvenience. I was not looking for a handout, just acknowledgment of their oversights, something. I am the president of a marketing corporation, money was not the issue. She wanted to know my every thought but was, consumed with my logical business input she forgot to offer me something for the troubles. At one point I told her I am not a facetious consumer. She seemed perplexed by what that word even meant. In simple terms ms manager ""I am as serious consumer and do not say things jokingly at inappropriate times or with a clever intonation."" I had reservations for Saturday for four people, that we put in as we walked in. I had to cancel at the end of the experience. I would have been EMBARRASSED if I had taken someone there for that experience. The server was good I empathized with him. He even said he hated that they had tables that were that small, he was miserable and was neglected of tips because of it. She said next time I could have a booth. I assured her I could not sit in a booth knowing that someone else would have the same miserable experience. There will not be a next time for me PF changs. I noticed 2 other heavier set women at the same size table acknowledging that we were having the same terrible experience. Terrible foresight. Only stick figures could fit through the gaps when people were seated. 2nd worst restaurant experience of my life by far my worst PF changs experience ever. BAD PF Changs location. Terrible. Awful. Not worth it. Bad customer service. Food is PF Changs, it is good but not worth the dreadful experience. A bad reflection on PF Changs. If every experience were like this one they would not be in business. Good luck if you go!

Good, but should be better

I just ate at PF Chang's for my brothers birthday and as usual, I enjoyed it. I know its a chain but who goes into it, not knowing that? I come out each time with a full belly and of course complaining that I shouldn't have eaten so much (Obviously I have no self control).

As everyone knows, you start off with the Lettuce Chicken Wraps...yum. My three year old niece loved them. We enjoyed lots of plates of goodies but the Dan Dan Noodles were my mom's favorite.

The small shots of desserts are nice with little ones. But of course, I had to have one too (maybe I should just say I had one ONLY because it was my brother's bday and I wanted to celebrate. Would you believe that?). Just be sure to mix up the tiramasu because the last few bites at the bottom are pretty strong.




kung pao chicken. get the kung pao chicken! ths place is great. my wife usually gets the lettuce wraps.

USE to be my favorite restaurant

PF Chang's in SD is not what i expected. I've been to many PF Chang's and had a good experience at all of them except this one. Beside the great decoration and service like I usually enjoy when I'm there. But this time the food was gross. I order there pepper steak from the lunch special menu and it was a waste of money, it was so salty that you can pour a glass of water in it and it will still be salty. I thought it was only me but i had my bf and 2 others friends tried it and they said the same thing. There chicken fried rice had no taste. We had to add our own seasoning, just so the fired rice can have some taste. We order the Chang's Ribs that was about the only good thing. We order fried calamari but it never made it because they waitress forgot the place the order. It sure wasn't worth the wait.



Great Service

My boyfriend and I love eating here. The food and service is always exceptional

Not for the food, for the atmosphere

Having been to many chinese restaurants around San Diego before, this is one of the best in decor of all of them. The interior feels like a new age swank restaurant filled with the well to do, beautiful people that you expact to find in California. Not exactly family friendly, but family accepting, the clientel range from those 20-somethings, to business folk, to small families.
The menu is not as long as you would fine at the best chinese restaurants in town, but the qualitiy will match if not succeed on the 40 some items that are listed, however don't expect massive quantity. The food presentation is just as you'd expect at a restaurant of this level, and is definatly made to be easier then what you would find traditionally.
May I suggest the varieties of tea, as there are several that you wouldn't find elsewhere, even if they are a bit fusion. However, don't expect service to be more then what you would find at better restaurants, as it is decent, but not great.
