Let me start by saying I used to LOVE this store and Ron was awesome....That's past...years ago I had a 150 gal SW and spent A LOT of money at this shop but no more. I had to take my tank down and recently started to build another... Here is what happened...I was misquoted a price but I thought whatever I like this place...My order was incomplete. I brought and paid for everything. Dropped all my supplies at home then went back to pick up the tank only to find that it wasn't there...So they said they would order another one and it would be in in 6 days...I go home to wait...I will keep the LR in a bucket until the tank comes in...so I go to mix up the saltwater and the salt was missing from my box...I call the store and cannot pick up the salt until afternoon the next day...So now I have LR on the floor with no water for nearly 12 hours...wrapped in plastic I am certain there will be a ton of die off - not what you want when you pay for premium rock...the 6 days pass and I go in to get my tank....it wasn't ordered...I complain...All he needed to say was say Dude I'm sorry I'll make it up to you and offer me some token like maybe 10% a fish or coral...something anything...but no he said he'd get the tank for me in another 3 days (late in the day so maybe 4days) ...and then proceeds to tell me how he doesn't make any money...how he is doing hobbyist a favor by being in business... and how he is just going to lock the doors when his lease is up.... why should I bother to buy anything else from him if he's going to make me feel bad for expecting what I ordered to be there when they said it would...the truth is I would have waited weeks for the tank to come in and buy everything then but they were more interested in making the sale than keeping a customer.
This 2000 sq. ft. aquatic store is chalk full of specialty parts and pieces to build your own aquarium systems. It's a bit cluttered but from what I saw during my visit the owner knows were everything is stocked and if he doesn't have something in stock he knows where to get it.
I saw good competitive pricing and many products that you can't find in the national pet store chains. So if you're looking to build your own system, or want a good selection of foods, both flake and frozen, this is the place to visit. They offer both freshwater and marine animals.
