Estate Planning

Wills
Jason S. Sheinberg is of counsel to Dan Morrin. Jason is a husband and father above all and understands the needs of families as they plan for life's up and down events. Jason has been practicing law since 2004. His practice is specific to trust and estates and is centered on the drafting of wills and trusts, trust and probate administrations, asset protection, Medi-Cal planning, conservatorships and guardianships. Jason works with families to make sure their estates are properly planned, and also with beneficiaries and fiduciaries to see to it that the estates are properly administered.
Trusts
A large part of our practice is advising our clients in their capacities as successor trustee of a trust. A typical example is where we have prepared an A-B living trust for a married couple, one of the spouses has passed away, and the surviving spouse needs counsel and representation in settling the trust. Another example is where the last parent in a family has passed away and a child or children seek our advice in settling the trust.

Dan has been practicing trust and estate law in San Diego since 1985. He is one of a select few attorneys in San Diego County who have been certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. Dan's experience spans the spectrum of estate types, from simple to complex. Dan sensitively and conscientiously guides clients through the loss of loved ones and the disability of children and ailing parents. Dan has been involved in estates from the planning stage, through settlement of trusts, to defense of the estate tax return upon IRS audit.
