Below Is my first post, I now have an update:
. I sent them an email letting them know what i thought. I was given a phone call back the next day saying my x-rays were in the mail, My balance was waived and and the dentist who treated me badly was no longer with them. While I do not plan to return this is a good sign and I applaud them for making an effort
LONG wait times (upwards of 3 hours for a cleaning from start to finish) Absolutely horrible customer service. I waited 45 minutes just to get my x-rays so i could bring them to my new dentist. I was told they would be ready when I got there. I never ended up getting them. They said they would mail them. We'll see about that. They are running a scam. They told me I had 11 cavities but lucky I got a second opinion and I had only 3. The dentist was hard on my teeth and really hurt me. DO NOT GO HERE

I recently went back to Mission Valley Dental (now known as Smile San Diego) after transferring out. I was very impressed with the changes. I always loved the staff and now that it is under new ownership it is a very stress free and comfortable office. Dr. Joe Wisnieski is a great Dr. He is a gentle, patient and genuinely concerned with the care of the patient. Got a hometown feel about the place.

I went because I had a cavity (I could see clearly with my eye--it was the size of a seed!), and they completely ripped me off. They put a crown on I didn't need and it looks HORRIBLE--food gets stuck in there all the time! They also kept changing their mind about what was wrong with my teeth. First it was one cavity, then two, then two and a crown, then two cavities and two crowns and a possible root canal! I only got one side of my mouth done and decided I had had ENOUGH of them, but when I went to pay the first time they claimed they didn't know what to do with my insurance! I found them on my insurance website!!! My CEO goes to them! I went in March, it is August, and there has been a HUGE battle over the money--they have tried to charge me THREE TIMES for the same procedure! Almost six months of arguing them and I'm HOPING its settled! ANd they said they were going to contact creditors even though it has been THEIR mistake!!! Please save yourself a lot of trouble (and pain! Most painful dentist experience I've ever had and I've had a lot of experience!) and don't go here!
