Great Customer Service

Frequent customer of this store. Nice people. If they don't have it they order it in for you. Son got free music lessons for band over the summer with our trumpet rental.



Friendly, Helpful and Knowledgeable Staff, Good Selection and always has what we need

Reccommended by my daughter's piano teacher, Bertand's has been a great place for us to find music, instruments and lessons. At first we needed piano books, and they always had what we needed in stock, theory and lesson books for every level. Later, we rented an instrument for 5th grade band, but soon she found it too difficult to play and wanted to change her instrument. This would cost more, more paperwork, more hassle. Thankfully, the salesperson noticed our conversation and said the perfect things to inspire my daughter to practice more and stay with her current instrument! That night, she practiced for an hour and loves to play now. They have gone out of their way again and again to assist us. They offer free lessons for 6 weeks when you rent an instrument. It was well worth the investment. My daughter has more confidence in her playing and I will always go to Bertand's for our music needs.

Poor customer service - lost instrument we returned

They were recommended by our kids music instructor. We rented a saxophone from them for the school year. We returned it July 2009 but they've been charging us every month since for it . Since we have our credit cards set up on autopay, we didn't even realize until a whole year later! Shame on us.
When I called them up, they told me they have no records of us returning it. I asked to speak to the owner but they gave me the runaround and only let me speak to a manager there.
I thought I was losing my mind and called my son who is on vacation in Virginia to ask him where the saxaphone was. He was completely baffled by my question and said we returned it last summer to the store - don't you remember?! And added... what's wrong with you! You yelled at dad and I for returning it a month late. I went back and forth with Betrands and to add insult to injury, not only would they not refund any of the monthly fees, they also wanted to charge me another $300.00! Not sure what to do at this point but needless to say, we are very unhappy with Betrand!
