I purchased a Ford F-250 from Point Loma Pre-Owned on behalf of a research group at the University of California, San Diego. I worked closely with Matt over the course of 3 weeks in order to get the car registered with the university. When I first test drove the truck, I found there to be a lot of play in the steering. After getting it inspected by university mechanics, we found the brake pads to be on their last limbs and its steering box to likely be faulty (play in the steering). I returned the vehicle and Matt was more than happy to fix everything we found to be an issue with the truck. He purchased brand new brake pads, resurfaced the rotors, aligned the steering, and replaced the steering box with factory recommended parts. On top of all this, the price of the truck did not change. I then drove the truck again and found it to handle and brake spectacularly. I could not expect any higher service from a used car dealership. Matt was not stingy at all in fixing what issues I found with the truck, something I could not find in any of the other dealerships I visited. As this purchase was for the university using university funds, the paperwork to transfer the funds stalled midway through the process. Matt was very understanding and patient with this incident. He was more than accommodating in waiting for the money to come through. Overally, I must say my experience at Point Loma Pre-Owned was phenomenal. The salesman are warm and welcoming and above all treat you as you should be treated. The other reviews don't do this place justice. Each and every vehicle purchased second hand needs to be inspected by someone who knows the ins and outs of a vehicle. It is the buyer's job to understand any faults with an automobile before they purchase it used. Thanks Matt!
When I first came to Legacy Auto I was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 that was sold to me from a friend who just so happened to screw me over by selling it to me for way more than it was worth. I came into the dealership and right off the bat the customer service was way better than any other dealer I've been too. Mike was very friendly and kind. I looked at the cars for maybe an hour being indecisive on which car I wanted. When I finally chose the 2013 Chevy Malibu LT Mike and Diego sat down with me and step by step showed me everything on how they were pricing the car. I was very surprised on how easy they made the process seem when every other dealer I went to made it drag on for hours and hours and seemingly ended up going no where. When all the paper work was done and what not I was able to leave the dealership in my brand new car that very night. They even stayed open late so that I could finish all the paper work. These guys really aren't kidding when they say that they are here to try and change the car business!!! They are really here for you and trying to give you the best deal possible!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else than Legacy Auto for my next vehicle!!!
Great no pressure auto sales company! I am a first time buyer with no credit and these guys got me approved! There were two cars in my price range, and when I only got approved for one, and realized it was the other I was in love with Mike pushed to make it happen! Then, the next day I was notified that there was a small error and that my gap insurance was already financed with the money I had put down, so I got my other 500 from the gap insurance back! You never see something like that, but these guys are honest and really seem to care about their customers! Initially, I had a small problem with my new purchase so I called and informed them about it, they told me come in and they'd take care of it! Unfortunately, the part wouldn't be coming in for a couple days, so they loaned me another one of their cars so I wouldn't be out of a car!! These gentlemen have been wonderful and I expect to send anyone that inquires about buying a used car in like-new condition to come here! Definitely impressed and would love to thank AZ and Mike or their wonderful customer service!
This was the easiest car buying experience i've ever had. The General Manager Jeremy Bodger was a breath of fresh air. Not your average pushy saleman, trying to just show us what they wwanted to sell. When my husbend and I walk on the the lot we were greeted and told if we should have any question to just let them know. Jeremy could see that we were ready for help and asked us if we would like to look inside, what would become our new vehicle. After a test drive they offered to show us the vehicle history report, 'carfax', which was a nice suprise to have someone offer to see this. We asked what the bottom line was on this car, not wanting to seem to eager to buy. Jeremy showed us his best deal and my husbend and I went outside to discuss it. We both agreed that this was too easy, and we couldn't pass up an offer as good as this was. Well thirty minuetes we drove off with our 2007 Toyota Matrix, which we absolutely love. I would highly recommend Your Choice Car to all my friends and family. Sincerely. Judith Plum
Called them, they seemed professional. We agreed on the price for a Lotus and they told me to come next week because the actual owner of the car (which was not GSR) would be in town that week since I wanted to be sure the title was released to me. I bought a plane ticket for the agreed weekend and sent a copy to GSR. I bought insurance and saved that weekend for my drive back from GSR to my home. The day before I was supposed to fly down GSR texts me at midnight (6 hours before I needed to be at the airport) stating that the actual owner of the car decided he wanted to RAISE THE PRICE of the Lotus by thousands of dollars "because of repairs". The owner of the Lotus had the decency to refund the plane ticket. Update: In AUG/SEP the original owner will supposedly honor the original agreed price, if that is the case then it will be worth the wait since it will have the repairs and be at the same price. 2nd Update: Lotus owner now says he's not selling it anymore, what a flake.
Yeah sure its a shady place, but tell me a car lot that isn't shady? Anyways i bought a used bmw here at a great price. I've been driving it for a few weeks, no check engine lights and it hasnt imploded on me. I know bmw's and consider myself a good weekend mechanic as far as hobbiests go. The bmw checked out and was in great condition, despite the 127k miles. Best advice i can give is before you buy any used car, do your research and learn how to properly inspect the vehicle. If you're still unsure, buy the warranty for a couple hundred bucks more. Bottom line is when you buy ANY car over 100k in miles a check engine light is going to come on, its not a matter of if but when. If your not handy with a wrench and you don't have deep pockets for repairs you have no business even considering these cars. Anyways it was a smooth transaction, they took my trade in no questions asked. They don't have much flex on price, but what i was offered was fair. I'm satisfied.
My boyfriend and I just recently purchased a 2007 pathfinder. We found it through http://cars.com and called right away. We did an application on line and Jose was able to work out a deal with a great lender. The best part about this was this was all on Saturday. We went the next day (Sunday) to test drive the car and take a look at it in person. Jose did a great job keeping our down payment in mind and working out a deal with the bank especially regarding our monthly payments as well. . The only thing was the the price, it was marked wrong on the website so I would verify is the price if looking on line at through auto trader, or http://cars.com. It was still the fastest and easiest car buying experience we have had. Since all the details were worked out prior all we did was provide the correct paper work discussed prior, sign and drive away!!!! Highly recommend these guys for a hassle free used car buying experience!!!
I was searching for a car the past 3 weeks and found out from a friend ( whom also purchased a car from GSR years ago ) that I should check out there selection as I had a hard time finding the car that "fit". I was surprised to find many nice cars, and they actually sat down with me to evaluate exactly what I need. They took the time to give me a estimate of what to expect on pricing, and the option of taking it to get inspected as they allow and recommend when purchasing Any used car! That was a big plus and smart because I felt their confidence in the product they sell! The last 2-3 places I visited did not entertain the idea of a pre-purchase inspection. After all said and done inspection was good, was offered a warranty for up to 5 years , I got a great deal which was hundreds below book value and happy with my new Toyota ! Upfront , honest and a pleasure to do business with !! Thank you

I came to Doug on a week day looking to buy a Chevy Silverado he had. I talked to him for a bit and then took it for a test drive. The truck handled great and everything on it was great. Came back with the truck and told him that I just might buy it that day. We got to talking and then he mentioned the Mitsubishi Lancer that I saw and liked as well. We got to talking about it and he really brought up some good facts, its better for traveling, with being in the Marine Corps, I will be doing a lot of that. It was also a better price for the amount of time I am going to be stationed here. I ended up buying the vehicle and I am 100% happy with buying it, and pretty happy that Doug talked me into buying the car! In my eyes Doug is out to help the customer, not for the sale. If he was, he would have let me buy the more expensive truck.
