I confess - I've only really had breakfast fare here at the Antique Row Cafe. I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened, and I love their breakfasts. They have a large selection of omelets and frittatas, as well as standard "bacon and eggs" type combos and pancakes. The pancakes are out of this world. I am not a big pancake eater because I don't like maple syrup, but I love the pancakes here! I eat them without syrup and they are just wonderful; light and fluffy with a hint of vanilla. The omelets are all good, and the portions are large. There are always specials on the board, and I find that the specials are the best part of coming here. The restaurant has expanded, so there is a lot more seating than there used to be, but if you come on a weekend morning be prepared to wait. But don't be put off by a crowd milling about the entrance - the wait is worth it. Good food, reasonable prices.
I went to Mystic Mocha with a friend after reading a couple of rave reviews, and found it just great. We both ordered lattes and shared a pastry. The latte was outstanding; maybe the best I've had here in San Diego. Only one other shop I've been to has rivaled this one - the latte was creamy and the flavor was a perfect mix of espresso and milk. The pastry was an apple cinnamon pumpkin concoction that tasted fresh and was very satisfying to my sugar addiction, even though it seemed as though the sugar content was quite low. We were there in the afternoon, after the kitchen had closed, so we weren't able to order off the menu, but it looked very good, and we plan to go back in the morning so we can try the breakfast. If you are an espresso drinker, I highly recommend trying this wonderful little coffee shop in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but just above Mission Valley.
Try It! This restaurant and coffee shop is as welcoming as thy can get. Mike, the owner, is so decent, kind, generous and friendly that you should just come here to meet him. Watch some soccer on the TV. Kick back and enjoy some very good coffee. And I loved the fact that there is no menu. Ask Mike what he can make for you that day. Sandwiches. Ethiopian dishes. You never know, but you will like the food. Mike treated us to a complete meal consisting of tibs (beef with and without berbere awaze sauce), lentils and tomatoes, onions and peppers. Delicious. Of course the Injera was superb. I love the feel of Injera. It has such a different texture. Everyone is so welcome here, come on in and enjoy it.
This Starbucks is located in a small strip center just off I-15. I was actually going to visit a friend who lives in the apartment complex adjacent to the strip center, and happened to see the trademark green umbrellas and Starbucks logo on the patio. We visited twice - around 1PM on a Saturday and again the following Sunday morning just before 9. The baristas were all friendly, service was fast and the drinks were good. Since it's so close to my friend's place, I can safely say I'll be visiting again.
I recently went to this establishment for breakfast while on vacation. I didnt really expect much considering it was breakfast food but I was surprised to say the least. It was outstanding. The meal was so good we went back there a couple days later for dinner. Each person got something different in out party and it was delicious. Had a minor SANFU with my CC due to traveling but everything was resolved very quickly and painlessly. Highly recommend the restaurant if you are near the Shelter Island area.
As if Starbucks wasn't great enough - this one has a drive thru! I hit this starbucks almost every morning on the way to work, and I'm pleased to say that this is the ONE starbucks I've visited where my drink has been right every time. The Baristas are friendly and have grown to recognize me (and my drink order!), which really makes it feel like a small town coffee shop. The parking (if you're going in) can be a bear, but the drive thru can make that a moot point!
"This is one of my favorite coffee lounges in the Downtown area. I only have 4 I like the most and this one fits right in that group. If you are looking for quality coffee to get your day started off the right way, Skybound Coffee & Dessert Lounge really knocks it out of the ball park! I recommend anyone to check out this place first before you end up in an everyday coffee shop with Baristas that just can't cut it!"

"I just want to thank you and your company for the exceptional service that you have provided to my VIP clients the past couple of months. It's really hard to find a great limo company with people that care, and we have found that in you. I will recommend you to all my clients" John M CGS Travel
My favorite coffee shop in San Diego! Although it is small, it is inviting and the service is wonderful. I have yet to get a drink that I have not loved! Also, their acai bowls are delicious and generously portioned! A must visit for coffee lovers (especially if you love a good dirty chai)!
