My name is Hector Hernandez, I've owned this shop for nearly 20 yrs and let me tell you, I very much still love what I do. I strive to give my clients the perfect hair cut. When you're here, you're the boss!.... My team and I cut hair like you want it, not like we (the barber) wants it. If for any reason you're not happy, allow me to work on it, still not happy, next one is free! You have a personal invitation from me to come and experience The Hair Force. You will find my extensive and ultimate collection of sports and military/war memorabilia truly fascinating. Over the years, my personal budies and clients have contributed to this collection, along with other rare pictures and other museum like objects you'll surely appreciate. Come and meet my wonderfull team and get the right cut. Our atmosphere is always positive and welcoming. See you soon Hector........
This barber shop has style; very few hold that old fashion- feel to it. The owner's name is Manuel G. Villalta from El Salvador, he has been working as a barber for the last forty years; fourteen of those years he has worked for Serra Mesa Barber Shop until three years ago he decided to buy it - needless to say cutting hair is in his blood. Manuel honors the men and woman that serve our country by giving them a discount off their haircuts. Through generations fathers (many military) have been bringing their sons here, and passing the tradition down. The shop itself is very inviting by the unique décor of the past clients that leave a piece of themselves behind - and I don't just mean their beautiful waving locks, but their gratitude and friendship.
I can't believe it. I got a great haircut last Monday for only $8.00. They have a coupon on Google for 8 dollar haircuts. I forgot to call, and just walked in and there was a very short wait. But they had so many magazines, I didn't mind the short wait. I had Kim cut my hair and she was very quick and nice. I am very happy with my haircut. I will let the other guys in the dorms at UCSD about this place. My last haircut in La Jolla cost me over 20 dollars.
The only person that I have let take me from dark brown to red to blonde hair, hair extensions, keratin treatment, etc. I trust her and sometimes give her free rein to do what she wants. Jamie is not only talented but friendly, flexible and fun. You will not be disappointed if you give her a shot! She is awesome!!
As a former employee,I must say that all of the barbers at 619 are dedicated to the client.Taking no shortcuts,no rush jobs merely taking the necessary steps to satisfy each and every client. Not only enjoy the services rendered, but the positive atmosphere.Step in to STEP ABOVE!!!
Step up and pay the $16 dollars to get the 4 towel straight razor face shave. This is probably one of the best buys in the city, this service normally goes for $35 to $55 at any location that is worth going to. Call early they usually fill up their appointments.
I have been bringing my son here for a couple of years and wouldn't change anything. Everyone is very nice and makes you feel comfortable when entering the shop and they do a great job! what more could you ask for!?!?!
I came for a visit in San Diego. Needed a change I stopped at Lettys Haircut. They color my hair and haircut. The service was outstanding and the team very friendly. Will come back when I come back.
I went there because I have been looking for a real barber for a long time. Got a haircut from "Katie" and she is a meticulous, very nice young lady and gave me the best haircut I've had in many years.
