My search for a new factory ordered pickup truck started nearly three years ago. During my search I spoke to numerous sales people from the three main manufacturers, Ford, Chevy and Dodge. I would say that about 20% of the sales people knew there product from a technical perspective. The remaining 80% either BS’d me on my questions or simply never got back to me. Eventually I settled on a Ford F350 diesel and my search to refine the factory build spec and the dealership that I would buy the truck began. I spoke to Ford dealers from Michigan, to Texas, to Arizona and Northern California. Some were technically good and offered me a reasonably price. However the best salesperson and the best dealership that I found was Barry Greenblatt at Kearney Pearson Ford This was amazing considering that I live in San Diego and was very willing to get on a plane to pickup my new truck. Barry was technically very good. I was asking him some very difficult technical questions. If he didn’t know then he did not BS me, he would research and would promptly get back to me with the answer. My Questions continued for a LONG time, he never relented on giving me premium service. He was never pushy, and always extremely professional and friendly. The pricing that he gave me was competitive with anywhere that I found in the United States. All of the staff that I ever dealt with during my purchase at Kearney Pearson were also extremely helpful and professional. On the day that we collected the truck we had to meet with the finance people. Having bought a new car before I was dreading this. Other dealerships will tell you things like “Unless you have this teflon treatment then your car is going to look terrible in a year” etc etc and give you the hard sell on extended warranty’s. Kearney Pearson was nothing like that!.. It was a very pleasant experience!.. in the end I had to ask him about an extended warranty which I did in fact buy because he tailor made it for me. As far as after sales is concerned they continue to be amazing… extremely helpful. Even Barry who has his sale done, continues to make himself readily available to answer any questions that I may have, and help with anything! All in all I highly recommend Kearney Pearson Ford!

I seriously wish I could give K & S over 100 stars!!! Today was my BEST car buying experience ever!! (& I have purchased several cars!) I came into this low profile lot very skeptical from North County- I had already found a vehicle at another Miramar area car lot that I was about to purchase from & I doubted they could be competitive & help me out of a very high mileage - upside down financed vehicle that I was trading in. I can't stress enough how patient & caring Auturo was with my used car buying anxiety! truly the most patient sales man to deal with! I was EXTREMELY nervous about my purchase of a 2013 Range Rover Evoque - after shopping several lots in search of the best condition vehicle with the best finance terms! I purchased a Ford F-250 from Point Loma Pre-Owned on behalf of a research group at the University of California, San Diego. I worked closely with Matt over the course of 3 weeks in order to get the car registered with the university.When I first test drove the truck, I found there to be a lot of play in the steering. After getting it inspected by university mechanics, we found the brake pads to be on their last limbs and its steering box to likely be faulty (play in the steering).I returned the vehicle and Matt was more than happy to fix everything we found to be an issue with the truck. He purchased brand new brake pads, resurfaced the rotors, aligned the steering, and replaced the steering box with factory recommended parts. On top of all this, the price of the truck did not change. I then drove the truck again and found it to handle and brake spectacularly. I could not expect any higher service from a used car dealership. Matt was not stingy at all in fixing what issues I found with the truck, something I could not find in any of the other dealerships I visited.As this purchase was for the university using university funds, the paperwork to transfer the funds stalled midway through the process. Matt was very understanding and patient with this incident. He was more than accommodating in waiting for the money to come through.Overally, I must say my experience at Point Loma Pre-Owned was phenomenal. The salesman are warm and welcoming and above all treat you as you should be treated.The other reviews don't do this place justice. Each and every vehicle purchased second hand needs to be inspected by someone who knows the ins and outs of a vehicle. It is the buyer's job to understand any faults with an automobile before they purchase it used.Thanks Matt!

I am one of the most skeptical, untrusting, "how are they going to screw me" people around, so needless to say, when we drove down from the Riverside area to look at a used car that I had been trying to find, I was, as usual, ready for the normal used car experience. I still have a hard time believing that the car is sitting in my garage, and that it was more stressful buying my big screen TV at Best Buy than it was to purchase this car!!! I was working with Tommy who handles the internet sales, (I think) and he was super nice, yet professional, NOT overbearing or pushy at all and totally the opposite of what the stereotype car sales person is portrayed as. We talked price for, uhm, maybe 15 minutes after a good test drive and closed the deal with a handshake. We then went in to talk to the finance manager Mike and it was so relaxed and casual and, once again, unpressured that I kept waiting for something to go wrong. NOTHING HAPPENED!! Walked out with the keys, 2 year extended warranty and $1000 under Kelly Blue Book price for retail sale of that car. If your buying a car, this place Rocks!! We are very satisfied with Midway Jeep Chrysler of San Diego during the recent purchased of my new Jeep (7/2012). The staff was courteous; knowledgeable of their product and spent time in several test- drives. And when it came to the sale: they were upfront and expedited a cosmetic correction on the purchased vehicle. What set Midway apart from other dealerships I have experienced were their follow-up telephone calls and e-mails to ensure my satisfaction with their product they sold me.The Salesmen there greeted my wife and I verbally and with a smile. They made us feel welcomed. Never got the feeling I was in a ‘shark tank’, but always felt comfortable.About the Jeep Rubicon Unlimited: I was very surprise how well and smooth this SUV is to drive. In addition, it has so many amenities inside like most luxury vehicles. As I have learned, searching on the Internet helps a consumer become well informed, but for me seeing and experiencing the Jeep in person convinced me this was the right vehicle for my family.Midway Jeep Chrysler of San Diego has a great reputation for a reason. When I first came to Legacy Auto I was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 that was sold to me from a friend who just so happened to screw me over by selling it to me for way more than it was worth. I came into the dealership and right off the bat the customer service was way better than any other dealer I've been too. Mike was very friendly and kind. I looked at the cars for maybe an hour being indecisive on which car I wanted. When I finally chose the 2013 Chevy Malibu LT Mike and Diego sat down with me and step by step showed me everything on how they were pricing the car. I was very surprised on how easy they made the process seem when every other dealer I went to made it drag on for hours and hours and seemingly ended up going no where. When all the paper work was done and what not I was able to leave the dealership in my brand new car that very night. They even stayed open late so that I could finish all the paper work. These guys really aren't kidding when they say that they are here to try and change the car business!!! They are really here for you and trying to give you the best deal possible!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else than Legacy Auto for my next vehicle!!!
Great no pressure auto sales company! I am a first time buyer with no credit and these guys got me approved! There were two cars in my price range, and when I only got approved for one, and realized it was the other I was in love with Mike pushed to make it happen! Then, the next day I was notified that there was a small error and that my gap insurance was already financed with the money I had put down, so I got my other 500 from the gap insurance back! You never see something like that, but these guys are honest and really seem to care about their customers! Initially, I had a small problem with my new purchase so I called and informed them about it, they told me come in and they'd take care of it! Unfortunately, the part wouldn't be coming in for a couple days, so they loaned me another one of their cars so I wouldn't be out of a car!! These gentlemen have been wonderful and I expect to send anyone that inquires about buying a used car in like-new condition to come here! Definitely impressed and would love to thank AZ and Mike or their wonderful customer service!
GREAT SERVICEI have been referred to talk to Kareem by many people, attesting to his good character and I had ran into him many times at the gym. When I knew that it was time to buy a truck, naturally, I reached out to a familiar contact. Kareem responded very quickly and was very helpful regarding information about the truck I was looking at. We set up an appointment and I rode my motorcycle up there with the intentions of just test driving. I was greeted by Eric M., who was tasked with providing a test drive and answering any further questions that I had, which he did very well. I never once felt rushed or anything other than family. Called them, they seemed professional.We agreed on the price for a Lotus and they told me to comenext week because the actual owner of the car (which was not GSR) would be in town that week since I wanted to be sure the title was released to me.I bought a plane ticket for the agreed weekend and sent a copy to GSR. I bought insurance and saved that weekend for my drive back from GSR to my home. The day before I was supposed to fly down GSR texts me at midnight (6 hours before I needed to be at the airport) stating that the actual owner of the car decided he wanted to RAISE THE PRICE of the Lotus by thousands of dollars "because of repairs". The owner of the Lotus had the decency to refund the plane ticket.Update: In AUG/SEP the original owner will supposedly honor the original agreed price, if that is the case then it will be worth the wait since it will have the repairs and be at the same price.2nd Update: Lotus owner now says he's not selling it anymore, what a flake.
