When we finally got a Dr.'s referral for physical therapy for my mother-in-law, I was afraid it was too late. She was lethargic, uninterested in life, and had fallen several times. Not only did she get a physical therapist, but she also got a nurse who checked on her weekly and other services. Within two weeks of the physical therapy, it was as if my mother-in-law had gone back in time 10 years. For month's, years even, Mom wouldn't leave the house. She had no interest in her great grandchild and was angry at anyone who asked her to do anything, including joining us for dinner. I really thought it was the beginning of the end and tried to prepare my husband for his mother's passing. After a few months of therapy, Mom is going to parties and going out to eat. This holiday, she was back to being the life of the party when we took her to her niece's house. The PT taught the caregivers how to show Mom the exercises and gave them a pamphlet with pictures and a schedule to check off which exercises she did. Not only has my mother-in-law's life been extended, but, more importantly, her quality of life is something that makes her want to get up in the morning and enjoy this season of her life.I thank People First for giving us back a woman who is the family matriarch and a woman who loves life. The care they give is priceless.
Originally I went for a tour and the staff so very kind and understanding that I went with them. They explained everything to me in a way that was informative and comforting. I really appreciate all that they have done for me. Angel Garcia took care of so many details that I barely even wanted to think about. He was sincere and an all around nice guy who new his stuff. He had all the answers I needed. If you need home health care and hospice service, this is the right place.
We were trying to find a place for my Mom because she needs someone to look after her most times of the day. We decided we finally need to find her an assisted living. Elder Home Advisor gave us a well thought list of the best senior homes in San Diego and we went to visit. All the homes they referred were fantastic, and thankfully we found an awesome place for my mother! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for senior care in San Diego County.
They do what they say they are going to do, and they do a lot! I worked with their point man, Eric and his team and they were on it like funk on a skunk. My mom became ill and I was alone until Meridian showed up and helped me out BIG TIME.After my mom's ordeal they even took the time to refund me monies I was due.Great outfit to work with and thank you guys VERY MUCH for your much needed help.Don Risher
Great resource! I contacted Atlantis to find housing for a friend of mine who is a disabled veteran. He had been in a few Independent Living homes before and had negative experiences. The staff at Atlantis actually came and visited him and discussed his wants and needs and matched him with a house that he loves. I would definitely call them again if I knew someone else who needed Independent Living.
its not the the company fault its the insurance people have & MEDICARE sucks . lets put ourself in peoples shoes if it was your company YOu would want to get paid right ! medical & medicare dont pay anything ..... and ppo 's need history . lets not blam a company . its our insurance that wont pay & nothings free . i self pay quicker ....
From the very first call to the staff member who is in place at Barbara's house, I was impressed with this company. One of the owners answered the call and then walked us through the process. Kathy (one of the owners) even stayed with Barbara for five days until they could get the perfect caregiver!
