Mike became interested in the specialty of dermatology while working in family practice medicine. He was intrigued by many skin conditions and found an interest in the aesthetic as well as the medical benefits that dermatology can offer. Mike attended King's College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was also the recipient of the highly competitive National Health Service Corps Scholarship. Following his formal education, Mike worked with the United States Public Health Care Service as a physician assistant for the Metropolitan Correctional Center at the San Diego Federal Prison. Shortly after, he worked for the Quality Care Medical Center in Oceanside, California, as a physician assistant. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, riding dirt bikes, and surfing he even holds the rank of Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
