we are a custom home builder. we submitted the contract to guild mortgage in February; and this is now the first of June with no end in sight !!! we have to call them to get updates after going weeks not hearing nothing. We finally got to the point we told the customer they will have to find a new builder or a new lender. we work with a lot of lenders, and this probably one of the worse. very disappointed to say the least

I was a first-time homebuyer when I first contacted Terry at Grove Mortgage. I was scarred that a mortgage company was going to take advantage of the fact that I never bought a house before, but Terry took his time to talk me through each step of financing. He explained to me the different programs I could use and the pros and cons to each. I called him at 6:00pm on a Saturday night because I had a question about the appraisal process and he answered his phone and took his time to explain it to me! Even my realtor was shocked about how he was very transparent and updated everyone during the home buying process. Thank you Terry for answering all my questions, even the silly and repeated ones!!!

I've been with them since they were an employee credit union for a major financial services company. I agree in the past they were first class, but they have really gone downhill since. High fees for everything. Deposits take too long to clear. The website is ancient and unreliable and the app is a joke. Stay away, you're better off at a conventional bank or any other credit union.

Long lines, only 1 or 2 tellers; managers and their managers are rude and don't know how to solve problems and have no desire to do so.
Managers do not know much of anything. They don't have a Fraud department. If something goes wrong with an account they don't know what to do and refuse to do their job. They are nothing like the other successful credit unions in town, which explains why they can't measure up.
I've been with this institution since it's beginning. At first they were better than every other place I looked at. Now I despise dealing with them. Charging for members to get money orders when other places don't is a big one. They make mistake on the money order, I'm supposed to not only pay the damn fee the first time but pay again because the inept teller made a mistake? The ONLY reason I haven't left yet is because of my auto loan. But the minute that is paid off, I'm closing my account and going somewhere else. Fair warning to anyone who reads this. Stay away from United S.A. Credit Union.
