Great, great service. The office staff was very friendly. They completely accomidated us with our move time. The movers were very respectful of my wife and I. They got the job done within the estimate, how often does that happen! At the end, they offered to rearrange furniture or anything e…

When frigid winter days have you longing for spring showers and their magical flowers, there is no need to suffer in silence.
If your sprinklers are geysering or are leaking, there are a few steps to take to mitigate these problems.
Staying organized on moving day is key, and planning is a big part of it. Keep this checklist handy before and during your move to keep things stress-free.
Awesome is what I have to say about them.Okay, I never write a review but felt I had to here. I am really hard to impress overall, I was leery about just opening yellowpages.com and picking a random mover, especially with all that could go wrong. When my scheduled mover blew me off yesterday, Saturday, I called Almighty Movers to see if they could help me out today, Sunday. They quoted me over the phone and scheduled me. The next morning they were clear in their communication with me as to when they would be arriving and when they were stuck in traffic, called to let me know. Two great guys showed up and introduced themselves. Very polite, very professional. Then they got to work. After about 20 minutes of watching I knew I didn't need to follow them around all day, they knew what they were doing and they did it. I just tried to stay out of their way. There was no goofing off or milking the clock or horsing around. They worked hard, they were careful and detailed about moving the larger items of furniture as well as the boxes of dishes and breakables. Wow, I am beyond impressed! My apartment was on the second floor, so stairs were the nemesis and I had a TON of boxes. I never heard complaining, I never heard a gripe, I never saw them bump walls or doors, they just did it. This started out to be the move from hell, but Almighty Movers came through in a huge way with NO drama. Thank you SO much, I will refer you to anyone I know AND I will call you the first time when I need you again. You have my loyalty.
First of all their crew arrived ahead of schedule which was a first for us, (due to a bad previous experience with another co. we were very nervous about the move.) We were assisting our disabled son with his relocation to his new home - GREAT EXPERIENCE.The movers were very curtious, helpful and fast. We stopped in several locations to p/u extra stuff out of storage and new items from a furniture store. The movers followed along p/u, delivered and set up everything just as we requested. They even picked up the packaging from new furniture and hauled it of to trash for us, without us asking. Also the cost was right on the money, no extra fees, etc. the horrors you read about. We picked them because co. had a insert in the name "Christian" and we were not disapointed, these men acted professionaly and used no foul language as matter of fact I found out that owner attends Cornerstone church, and it shows........Would highly recommend this co. to anyone. Michelle
I have used Half Price Movers 3 different times, many years apart. I moved 11 years ago and had a lot of medical equipment that was very fragile among my entire house. A few years after that we moved my grandfather. Two weeks ago we moved my parents, who has a lot of antique furniture, antique china, and lots of fragile items. Each time the workers were on time, if not a little early, extremely careful with everything, and most of all, these men were so courteous to me, my grandfather, and my parents. They went above and beyond to make sure nothing got broken, wrapping all the furniture so nothing would even have the smallest mark on it. My parents are retired military and this was their 22nd move. They told the men they have never experienced such friendly, courteous, and careful movers in all the moves they have had. I have recommended Half Price Movers to everyone who is need of a moving company.
I have 1 and 1/2 acres that I needed mowed. Due to the rain we have had over the last four weeks our yard had gown up to knee height. When the Scott's Lawn Service team of men showed up to do the job, they came without having the proper equipment for a job the size of my yard. The team did finish the job, but it was cut unevenly, because they cut a lot of my side yard and back yard with only a weed eater. They arrived late both days and did not provide their own five gallon water dispenser, thus the team kept knocking on my door asking for cold water in their 16 ounce bottles. The estimate that I was given for the job was $100.00. After the team had mowed ONLY my front yard they started to say it would be over $200.00 more to finish the job. Don't believe their estimates or the time they will arrive. I do not recommend anyone that has more than a 1/4 acre lot use this service.
I used Alpha Omega Movers approximately two years ago in 2011 and was very satisfied. The movers were careful with my property and very courteous. I can honestly say that nothing was stolen or damaged during the move. I contacted them once again this month May 2013 and set an appointment for 06/01/2013 at 9 am.due to the excellent job they did back in 2011. I hope that I will be completely satisfied once again although I have read some concerning reviews from unsatisfied customers. I do know that all it takes is one rotten apple to ruin a company's name. I will continue to use this moving company and will recommend it to family and friends based on my personal experience and on other Postive Reviews I read.
I am very pleased with AAA Movers, the staff was very helpful from the first phone call till the end of the move. The last time I moved I tried to rent my own truck and hire movers to do the labor, this was not good. That deal cost me too much money and the guys I hired kept taking smoke breaks. It was a really bad experience. But the guys at AAA Movers were very professional, hardworking, courteous, and extremely polite. They worked very hard the whole time they were there and took very good care of my items. You can trust all the good reviews about this company. If I need to move again I will definitely use them again no second thought. Thanks Guys!!
I get "happy feet" every time I turn on my sprinkler system now. I have a very "home made" sprinkler system that had several ill-functioning and one very broken sprinkler heads. My first concern is that no one would want to touch this system and then they would insist on just building a new one. David was very accommodating, he made suggestions to improve my system without pushing me to extend my budget. He added an additional line and replaced several sprinkler heads. I believe his pricing was comparable to other professional providers, but in actuality was probably better since he basically reworked my entire system.
I'm not easily impressed. But the people from Lone Star have done what many have tried, and few have accomplished -- I'm actually taking time to write a favorable review, and of a moving company at that! Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming. \ \ The guys were so efficient and careful, and so very courteous. My things made it to the new place in the same condition they left in. And my wife didn't have to plug her ears everytime a mover walked in the room for fear of hearing yet another disgustingly inventive curse word to describe female anatomy. \ \ Thanks so much, Lone Star. You guys were great!
We recently received a postcard in the mail advertising service with McCain Enterprise. We checked out their website and was very impressed with the variety of services and specials that they offered. We spoke with the owner Jeff and set up an appointment for him to come out and provide us with a bid. He was very informative, professional and affordable. He walked us through the process step by step, provided us with watering, mowing and maintenance tips. An our yard looked great. We would highly recommend him and his company to our friends. ...Mr. Zapata.
These guys were AMAZING! I have had other movers come move me and I seriously thought they'd steel from me. Advanced Moving workers were clean cut and super friendly. They were on time and took great care of all my things. Nothing was damaged, in fact they were very protective with all my furniture, wrapping and putting moving blankets on it all. I have had all my family members use them and we have all had amazing results! I would definitely recommend and not waste your money on other moving companies, which by my experience has been quite scary!
Nature's beauty can be seen everywhere through landscape designs. Not everyone has a green thumb or the knowledge to coordinate a landscaping plan that's aesthetically pleasing and meets the unique needs of the property. Landscape contractors can help add curb appeal to the exterior of your home or strategize how plants should be laid out.
Generally, landscape contractors create or refurbish outdoor spaces by planting trees, lawns, shrubs and flowers, and constructing paths, decks and patios. These professionals will generally discuss client requirements, how the landscaped area will be used, and the client's preference for certain styles. After this initial meeting, landscapers will select the materials they need and start carrying out their construction and planting plans.
With the number and variety of properties that need landscaping services, it should come as no surprise that there are many different providers to choose from. In fact, there are nearly 500,000 active landscaping businesses in the U.S. This demand is driven by the continued growth in domestic housing markets. Steady disposable income has also been a major reason for households to outsource their yard care.
Landscaping contractors have a wide variety of techniques that they can use to spruce up your yard. Here are some of the most common landscaping attributes that you can find at most homes:
Homeowners and businesses may stray from annuals and biennials due to planning and costs associated with them - instead, look to fill your garden with perennials. These plants return every year, making them a budget-friendly option. You may choose to do a one-color floral garden or a combination of colorful perennials. Look at plants like allium, buddleia, coneflower, sage and veronica for inspiration when choosing perennials.
Homeowners can mix and match different kinds of trees to enhance their yard. Evergreens like spruce, magnolia, holly and firs keep their leaves year-round. Deciduous trees, on the other hand, have leaves that change color and fall off in colder months. Pair different types of trees together for ample yard coverage.
If you want to guide guests around your yard, try using pathways. You can dig shallow holes to make the stones flush with the ground, providing an appealing walkway. Pavers can also be arranged in geometric patterns to cover unused ground space or bare earth.
Landscape contractors can also build a structure that will enhance your yard. Perhaps you decide to put in a koi pond, or that you want to build out your patio. Landscape contractors have the knowledge, tools and design expertise to carry out these construction projects.
Homeowners and business managers should call landscaping contractors as these professionals have the tools and expertise to carry out jobs such as:
Planting Trees and Flowers
Landscapers are often called out to roll out sod as well as plant trees and flowers. These contractors have the design aesthetic to help you plan the best layout for your particular space. Landscapers can also tell you if certain plants aren't cut out for your climate. Not only will you get a beautiful yard, but you'll also have foliage that will last over the years.
Sprinkler systems are beneficial for a variety of locations, but many DIY irrigation projects can lead to incorrect installations. Some problems include poor-quality components, improper pipe sizing, too many sprinkler-heads per zone, and inadequate head spacing. These systems are difficult to install, and a DIYer can easily make mistakes. Landscape contractors can situate sprinklers methodically to maintain your plants and ensure that the irrigation system is set up correctly.
Building Retaining Walls
If you have a retaining wall or are putting one in, proper installation is crucial. Landscapers see issues like lack of proper base preparation, unattractive wall blocks, mitered cuts at corners and no drainage chimney installed behind the wall. To prevent your wall from crumbling, call a landscape contractor to construct one.
Besides putting in plants and trees, building decks and patios are the most common jobs for a landscape contractor. These professionals have the best materials and tools available to create the look that you desire. DIY projects can end with structurally unsound builds, requiring additional time and money to fix the issues. Good landscapers will ensure a solid result that melds with the rest of your landscape design.
Homeowners and contractors can draw a lot of inspiration from landscaping styles used all over the world. There are some limitations to your options, such as what plants you can use based on the climate you live in, how much space you have to work with and any homeowners-association compliance regulations. However, once you address these main areas, landscaping design is only as restricted as your imagination.
Many homeowners are starting to use the Mediterranean design style for their landscapes. This option is becoming popular around the world because it takes advantage of new varieties of palm trees and plants that conform to different climates. The diversity of this flora is what makes this approach so appealing.
Southwest Landscape Design
If you live in an arid region, this style is likely going to be the best choice for your landscaping. Using a mix of garden decor and plants, Southwest design aims to make the most of plants that retain water well and can handle dry, warm climates. Pathways, patios and lawn ornaments can help cover the space and complement available flora.
Japanese Garden Style
Japanese-style landscapes are known for providing a serene space. This design uses a number of techniques to make the area look bigger than it is and to create a calm, beautiful atmosphere.
No matter which style you choose, there are some main considerations that should go into your design. Homeowners need to anticipate equipment access needed to create a deck or patio, as some tools may be too big for the space. They will also want to start by choosing a focal point. It should stand out but still be connected to the rest of the landscape. Accenting your home with thoughtful plantings to highlight its features will add curb appeal and enhance its characteristics.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Consider these factors before hiring a contractor:
Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person. Feedback from these sources can reveal necessary information about the quality of the contractor's work, dependability, responsiveness and capacity to carry out your particular project.
Certification and Memberships
Landscape contractors also should have relevant certifications from reputable programs, like Certified Landscape Technician. You should also ask for a list of professional activities, affiliations and awards to gauge interest in professional growth and commitment to excellence. Contractors may be part of the International Society of Arboriculture, The Irrigation Association and numerous other organizations that are committed to providing better training and education in the industry.
Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Pricing and Billing
Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
States have different requirements regarding landscape-contractor operations. Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock. It's important to ensure that your landscape contractor complies with established rules before beginning your project.
When it comes to working with landscaping materials, safety must be the top priority. There is a wide range of services within the industry, many of which come with a risk of injury. Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
